I kind of like not knowing who "Michelle" is. As a fan, I'm always the one that everyone goes to and people ask me questions for each Spider-Man film. Now I have my friends asking, "who is Michelle"? And I kind of say, "I know as much as you do." It'll be a surprise and I'm happy about that.

They really should've gotten Greg Weissman to be the screenwriter or consulting producer for this movie.

I'm telling you, if they bring on Dan Slott to be the writer or consultant for the next movie, I think that'll be it for me. It honestly wouldn't surprise me considering how much Marvel loves to placate him.

Also, I think if MJ is featured in this movie or the next ones (and I still believe there's very little chance of that), it'll probably be as Stark's new personal assistant (considering that he and Pepper are no longer an item). She'll also probably be much older than Peter.

Maybe MJ will be Stark's girlfriend in this movie instead, and she'll say "Face it Tony Tiger, you've just hit the jackpot!"

Those werent merely older storylines I mentioned. It was stuff that had just happened in the books just as or during production of the films. X-men 3 especially could have just focused on the Dark Phoenix Saga story from the 70s but they were definitely influenced by Whedon's storyline in 2004-2005 when they threw in the cure plotline in the film. They even used Kavita Rao, whom he created for it

Not a movie but Agents of SHIELD has been doing the same with the Inhumans stuff that is currently playing out in the books and has for years

Maybe "established storylines" was a better turn of phrase. Either way, my point stands.

AoS is not a movie, and is not under Feige's thumb IIRC. And they have a little flexibility being a lesser known commodity.

But even the movies' lesser known commodities have influenced the comics. Look at Guardians of the Galaxy titles pre- and post-film.

Yeah, would have been OK by me, but they didn't. I'm okay with GankeNed even if it's not my favorite decision. Not a deal-breaker at all IMO.

I'm sure they won't go that route, though, but here's hoping.

Well they've practically done that with everyone else in this movie. We get Ganke but have Ned Leeds's name slapped on him. I bet the Vulture isn't even called Vulture but Mysterio.
