I just never found the appeal honestly. I've known several strippers, and some of them were fantastic people, but I hate the plastic look. Plus drinking in a strip club is OUTRAGEOUS even when you know people who work there. Not to mention, I've always found making small talk with some stranger grinding on your lap one of the strangest experiences ever.

Can't totally disagree with where you are coming from Brotherman. That being said... I make nice with the barmaid so I don't usually pay for more than the two drink minimum (Plus... I don't drink alcohol really. Tonite it was a Corona with lime and 2 orange juice/cranberry juice mixes). I usually try to get to the club with a bit of a weed buzz going on.

As for the look.... Well I like em' all. Plastic, Earthy, Hip, Mysterious... It's all good to me depending on the woman.

Another key... Find a strip club that's "Just Sleazy Enough". A place that's too buttoned down is just another VIP playground for the superrich. Go too down grade though? Well, you'll end up at a joint where you may not want to sit down ANYWHERE. For myself, I like a place where the girls get touchy feely, shall we say, but the bouncers won't allow anything like full on intercourse in the lap dance area. The Champagne room? Well.... That's another story.

The Nightmare on Elm Street stuff. I'm a huge fan of all Freddy stuff. It's beyond stupid but I just can't get enough. I have all the movies, several books including two novelizations of the movies 4/5 and FvsJ and an audiobooks of 5. I have an old Freddy bobblehead knock off I bought 15 years ago along with a cheap glove.

I also had a large number of the comics which are crazy hard to find which are gone now due to various reasons.. I recently *cough* acquired some electronic versions of them but I'm still going to try some again.

The only thing more awkward is realizing that one of the strippers is someone you've known for years and would never think would do something like that. I've had a few occasions happen where I ran into old acquaintances that were down right embarrassed for me to see them strip.

See I've had the opposite thing go down. I live in Brooklyn in the 50's and the club I go to is on 39th street, and BKLYN being the big borough it is, some of those dancers actually live in the close neighborhoods. When I was a bit younger, I'd be at that club every few weeks. Got to know those women on the job, so to speak. Some of them quite well. From time to time I'd bump into them on the street or at a store or place to eat. Once we had both sussed out who each other was I'd either get a knowing smile or some such, OR they'd come up to me and plant a big ole kiss on my mug with a big hug. I would always wait for them to initiate cuz you don't know if they are with someone that they don't want to know that they dance or whatever.
