Similar to TDK thread but for BB.

Rewatched BB again and noticed that when Alfred said to Bruce that they'll have to order the cowls 10,000 at a time to avoid suspicion, Bruce has a "Jesus Christ, that many" look on his face.

Is there any other little things that you've noticed on repeated viewings?

Batman Begins doesn't have subtle details like The Dark Knight to warrant this thread.

I noticed the woman that introduced Bruce to the fake Ra's at his birthday party just walked off with the fake Ra's after the real Ra's revealed himself.

I still wonder what the hell was going on there with that woman.

:whatever: Or the movies been out for years now, has been dissected by everybody here, and everything has been revealed. TDK thread came out when people were still on their 2-3 viewing. It's not like you even try to debate, you're just taking cheap jabs at movies that threaten TDK.:whatever:

Don't start an off topic arguement, guys.

Right before Ras activates the MO for the first time, one of his "swat" goons pushes a little kid away. Katie Holmes comes running up and says, "What the hell do you think you're doing?"

The goon just points at her and the camera pans over to Ras, but if you keep your eye on the goon it's the funniest **** ever. He said nothing and just pointed at her for a good moment.

And speaking of the child, when he is outside while his parents are fighting and sees Batman for the first time, if you have subtitles on his dad yells, "Dick, get in here!"

And later when Bats saves him and Katie, the kid is wearing a red shirt with green sleeves. I read somewhere that it was just suppose to serve as a homage.

When Batman jumps out of Crane''s apartment window, he lands on a parked car. In TDK, when Batman jumps out of the penthouse window to save rachel, he lands on a parked car again.

Also in BB, scarecrow says to Batman "you look like a man who takes himself too seriously". This seems very similar to Joker's "why so serious".

Haha, I think that's more of a coincidence then anything. Scarecrow used that line, so he could follow with, "I think you need to lighten up", and BOOM, Batmans on fire.:woot:

Well I'll be damned. Nolanverse Dick Grayson exists perhaps?

Perhaps. Like I said, I think it was more of an homage because Nolan also said that his DG is still probably in a cradle somewhere.

Still awesome though.

No he doesn't. he just says "Get in here!" you can hear the mom saying "Don't you yell at him.....!!"

They're talking about what the subtitles say at the bottom of the screen. Is that what you're talking about?

That exactly what I'm saying.

MAN: "Get in here!"

that's subtitles says

Yep there's no "Dick", just "Get in here!"

Ah, ok. I was just trying to clarify, as I haven't done it myself. ;)

Also the shot of Batman sliding down the glass to catch Rachel is a recreation of the moment when Bruce slides down the mountainside to catch Ra's in Begins.

Can anyone tell me what age Bruce and Gordon are supposed to be exactly in Begins? I ask because the more I watch it that scene where Gordon comforts a young Bruce the more it bothers me in regards to age difference. I don't think they should have had Oldman as Gordon in that scene.

What, Gordon was just a withered, gray haired, 20 years old.:oldrazz:

To tell you the truth, I never even thought of that, but that is kinda funny.

I think it would make sense if Bruce was a young twenty something when he first takes up the mantle but I get the impression he's in his late twentys.

TDK definitely suggests that Gordon isn't all that older than Bruce since he has a young family. In TDK I'd say Gordon was in his late thirties at least while Bruce is in his late twentys.

Which would probably have Oldman as an unrealistic young twenty something when comforting young Bruce, as you said, quite believable. :p

Im realizing it more BB is better than TDK. I even find Bale's acting better than TDK. There's something lacking in him in TDK that I cant point out.

Bruce was holding his 30th birthday party at Wayne Manor when Ra's crashed in the third act.

We don't know Gordon's age but for me, it makes most sense for him to be early 30s in the flashbacks of the beginning. And early 50s in the present of the film. Some people wait to have kids. For example in Long halloween Gilda keeps telling Harvey she wants kids but Harv tells her work is too difficult now and always puts her off.

It's the same for Alfred, looks 70 in both the flashbacks and the present which is 20 years later. Gordon's age change never bothered me much but I always thought it would have been nice if Michael Caine had been wearing a black wig in the flashbacks.

You're not alone in your thinking mate.

Good analysis of the situation man.

I've noticed that I tend to fast forward over most of Bruce's origin parts. The movie gets more interesting when he dons the cape and cowl.

Really? I love the origin, personally I think the scene where Bruce confronts Falcone in his own backyard is one of the most powerful scenes of both movies. Ditto on Ducard and Bruce's training on the frozen lake. Some great dialogue in both scenes.
