The Dark Knight Things you noticed the second time

Here's something I noticed on second viewing(s)..

At the party, when Bruce takes Harvey to cover, he answers to Rachel using Batman's voice. When he's with the kidnapped cops, he uses some kind of Batman's voice but not in full growl mode :hehe: He uses his growl while talking to Fox (in suit) but I understand that that's to stay in character, but.. in the party? He's not suited but he obviously switch to Bat-mode when he senses (:hehe:) danger

Both we and Rachel are going "wtf" at that point. But had this scene been in BB, i am sure Nolan would have explained it more, as he did with everything in that movie.
TDK definitely has a tone of mystery about it, thanks to their interpretation of the Joker. You only see WHAT he does, you don't see HOW he does it. So I suppose they kept that consistent with certain aspects of Batman as well.

The way I see it, he answers Rachel in the Batman voice in case Harvey is still semi-conscious. Harvey knows what Batman's full-growl sounds like. So when Rachel says that Batman saved his life, he's more likely to believe it.

Once again, you have enlightened me

I always thought he did that in case Harvey wasn't fully unconscious.

I'll have to watch it again since I always thought he was just whispering in his regular voice.

I wish they had left this in the movie, just so we wouldn't have so many "How did Bruce know the Joker was coming?" posts. They could've showed Bruce getting a call from Lucius or something.

The way it was done with the dramatic tension built by the music & quick scene cuts I'm happy with. I think if they left that in, it might have slowed it down some.

As to now Bruce knew, I figured he had some setup which would listen in on police chatter.

i'm gonna have to watch for that, just got it on bluray.

Maybe, but I think a five second shot of Bruce getting a call from, say, his building's security wouldn't have hurt the scene too much.

It would be hard for him to listen to police chatter at a party. Maybe he ducked quickly into his bat panic room to have a listen. :hehe: The next movie should have a scene where Bruce briefly leaves a party to do that.

Hadn't noticed that the Slaughter truck sideswipes a column as it follows the SWAT truck out of the underpass. :funny:

Oh and I forgot another one. When Joker is going "La la la la la" and smashing cars in his truck, when he turns to smash into a car he bumps/nudges purposely into the thug with him in the passengers seat.

I noticed that too. ^^
I also notice near the end where Alfred is burning the letter from Rachel, Batman's voiceover says something about hiding the truth. The truth in the letter, that Rachel didn't want to be with him, etc.

I also noticed the when the police officer goes nears the truck that Joker is in, he sneaks from beside the older man and shots the officer. I didn't notice that.

What is that, some kind of joke?

:funny:

This one sort of relates to the other movies too; but I've noticed that of all the six Batman movies this is probably the only one where we see Batman really tired and exhausted, particually at the end.

Shows that he is indeed human.

The infamous IMAX-camera-smashing scene. :funny:

They took the camera out of the picture, obviously. But yes, it's shown in the Blu-ray focus points that an IMAX camera was smashed along with that car.

One thing that came to mind that I didnt' really catch is, how does Bruce know the Joker is coming when he knocks Harvey out?

It makes sense that if somebody breaks into the building that happens to contain a batsuit, he'd have security in place that would make him aware of it.

^ Of course. How can people ask this kind of questions..? oh well :whatever:

By the way, nice avvy Saint

Love that bit! They're coming for him!

Yeah, and also, when he sais ''people deserve to have their faith rewarded'' you see Lucius and the self destroying sonar computer. The final scene really is brilliantly constructed.

Sorta unrealted to a second veiwing....But we let my Great Grandma whatch TDK here a few nights ago. The movie got all the way to the hospital scenes, and she goes "He's wearing white make-up? Has he always been wearing white make-up?"

Thats when I punched her in the face. Enspcialy considering she's seen me in Joker make-up 3 or 4 times. :whatever:

^ You're a horrible great grandson. I hope she didn't die from it. :woot:

Is this a joke? That was....Well, it happens right in front of you. How could you miss it? You're such an observant person...Anita... :csad:
