When Batman attacks Lau's office and Lau and his bodyguards were firing at him and he runs to the right side, when the last glass shatters you can see smoke rising from where Batman should have been.

With every viewing I really grow to appreciate the multi-cultural cast - I love the fact that every major mobster has something culturally distinctive about him: Maroni's Italian smugness, Gambol's professionalism, Chechen's down and dirty approach, and yes, even the Joker's exaggerated Chicagoan accent.

People have given good answers above, but it could be that Rachel's murder has brought so much heat down on Maroni that he feels the only way out is to help catch the Joker. It's also possible that Maroni had his own plan for getting his money back. The GPD is corrupt and some of that money could've gotten "lost" on the way to evidence and found its way back to Maroni.
My first thought was that the Joker called Maroni to get his money at the warehouse, and Maroni knew that the Joker would kill him then, as he does to the Chechen. So he goes to Gordon to beat Joker to the punch....so he thinks. :funny:

I dont know of this is mensioned before probably yes but if you watch closely at the prologue/intro,you can see when the guy is trying to open the volt when the other one enters, that his shoes are of and he's trying to open the volt with is shoes !!!:woot: sorry for my bad english.

It's because the vault handle is protected by an electric currant. The shoes have rubber soles, rubber doesn't conduct electricity.

Now that's cool.

In the scene when Mr Reese is trying to blackmail Fox, it looks like Fox has been taking fashion tips from The Joker (Green vest, Blue shirt):woot:

When the Joker gives his card, the card doesn't even look like him.
He doesn't have contact information on it, how do they contact him?
After thinking about that, I realized the Joker finds them. That's how he knows where they are.

its just a joke, its a bad pun, thats why its funny, there is no contact info on it, its literally his "calling card"

Lol. Its a joker card, he's the joker... its a joke.
At the end of batman begins Gordon shows batman a joker card, its just his calling card, he leaves them behind because '...its about sending a message." The joker card pinned to Brian Douglas, Surillo's car bomb is full of joker cards, Patrick Harvey and Richard Dent have a hand full of Joker cards.
It was never intended to be taken literally, its not a business card. What kind of villian would he be if at every crime scene he left a card with a picture of himself with all his contact details on it?

I never knew what I'd posted would be taken seriously. I was joking. But thanks anyway...

When Alfred is talking to Bruce about his time in Burma we see monitors of Joker's face in diagrams/pixels, is Batman taking measurements of Joker's facial features?

"Things You Noticed the 2nd Time" will hopefully be true for him/her re-reading your post. :woot:

No, he's making really sure that we understand that the bandit represents The Joker :whatever:

He's using all them different screens to try and identify him. See if his facial measurements match anything in the police databases I suppose.

On my umpteenth viewing, I JUST noticed that when Batman is racing toward Joker's semi on the Batpod and launches the grappling hooks into the truck, the wheels of the Batpod move farther apart, dropping the seat section closer to the ground just before Batman passes under the trailer.

And the part where you hear "he missed!" is rather confusing since it sounds like Joker but he's not moving his mouth or it's either his goon next to him.

The guy on the right is the same guy at the party who Joker asks "You know where I can find Harvey? I need to tak to him about something...little...NO."
