This is what I want to see. Norman works best when he works from the shadows.

I do like this look, but the glider bugs me. It looks like he is riding it backwards.

I've always liked this look; maybe bring the armor and up to date technology attributes to Gobby, but also keep that original look to him he's always had in the first original series. Like keeping the hat, bomb bag, and maybe the cheap latex mask; then again I don't like it do to the fact he would need more armor plated protection.

Absolutely NOT, leave the transformation motif for THE LIZARD.

Had to go with the costume selection here. I remember being disappointed with the whole transformation thing when I first started with Ultimate Spider-Man.

Yeah same here. I don't hate the transforming Norman, but it's not worth having in the reboot just to be different. And if they use the Lizard, I could see problems already and people may not buy the repetition. Not to mention the jokes on how Norman turns into a giant green monster wearing purple.

It has to be some sort of mask, to hide the identity of Norman Osbourne. I think the Rami film had the right idea, but poorly executed.

He's building the glider for the military, so a flight suit makes sense, but the mask came out of nowhere.

I'd like to see somthing more organic. Something that looks like Osbourne would fabricate in his home, rather than something that looks like a halloween costume. I sort of make a comparision with the Mark I Iron man suit. It looks like it was fabricated from a bunch of scraps.

It didn't come from no where. He had a room in his house where he worked on all that equipment and he built the mask in there as well. The look of the mask was from all the tribal masks he had on his wall in that room that led to his secret room. Now, I would have liked to see a peak of him building it.

Totally agree, and unless they go with a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde transformation approach, it would less the impact of the Goblin mind games between Peter and Norman, once Norman discovers his secret.

I think GG should be like Ultimate GG myself.

So you want GG and Lizard to be interchangeable?

Always thought the goblin should have that sinister look to him

I think it will be awesome to have Norman's transformation be like Dr.Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. IMHO

If they go with the transfomation, I would hope they go this route, but I think such a decision would mean a lot more cost for the CGI, with the transformations.

I think the costume is DEFINITELY the way to go IMO. And, a chance to right the wrong from the Power Ranger Goblin costume in SM1.

No transformation, period, then what the hell would we need THE LIZARD for? The Dr.Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in a physical sense belongs to THE LIZARD.

I do not want the transfomation either. Period. I do want a kickass costume for the Goblin.

And as far as the Jekyll and Hyde issue, the Lisard should stay "Dr. Hyde" (Lizard) after his transformation also.

Of course, I want a killing machine in that character, I want Curt Connors to dread what he now has to live with based on The Lizard's actions. I don't want a HULK type deal, where Banner (Connors) doesn't kill, so Hulk (The Lizard) doesn't kill.

i would like them to stick closer to the origin of the green goblin please no armor for a costume. Formula that turns him into the goblin(not appearance wise) just strength, speed and healing along with pushing the limits of his sanity.Make the costume more dark and evil looking. The long hood over the mask is a great touch imo no hard mask what so ever !

Sony may have and probably will continue to make decisions based on stupidity but they're not crazy. I just don't see sony being insane enough to give us UGG. Osborn works better as a character that has a personality disorder and wears an outfit to mask who he really is.

One of the flaws of Raimi's movies was, he spent a lot of time mischaracterising the characters involved and as Kaw said, if we have Norman physically mutating into a goblin then it sort of renders characters like the lizard redundant. Part of this reboot needs to spend time focusing on getting things right and keeping core elements unchanged.

True. They really have a lot of work ahead of them, I just hope they don't blow it. I don't have much time.

I still fear that they'll go this route, JUST to distance from Raimi.

I'm used to seeing the costumed, schizophrenic Goblin, but I could dig the physically transformed Norman, provided that he's a more intelligent fellow than he was in USM Vol. 1, which I'm assuming manifests itself in Legacy, and that they make it look right. No Jolly Green Giant like the early '00s Hulk, please.

I fear they will use Ultimate Green Goblin to bring Spider-Man in the same Marvel universe as Iron Man and Hulk are for now. Even Hulk's origin was derived from experimentation on the Super Soldier serum from now upcoming Captain America film. If they intend to place Spider-Man in the same universe with Nick Fury and SHILED this would be a logical origin for the Goblin, I just hope they realize that there are already many Hulkish monsters and it would be nothing original for a Goblin to look like that.

What the hell are you talking about? Spider-Man has nothing to do with what Paramount does with its Avengers cast of characters. Different universe and it'll stay that way until Disney gets Spidey's film rights back.
