Thor (Deleted Scenes)

I also find it pretty lame that they left out the scene where Volstagg lifts up a car, that would've been a perfect example of Asgardians being superior to humans.

Man I wish that they had kept the shot of Thor/Sif/Loki/Warriors Three walking in the hall together in that one shot; it was such a badass shot imho.

There was a scene like that? Was it filmed or simply in the script? Either way :argh: that it wasn't in the movie.

Yep he was suppose to lift a car with one hand, it was in the script, I don't see why it didn't make it into the film.

i would like to see more scenes with thor in his helmet. it looked really cool.

That is a bit disappointing. I would have liked something along those lines to show the strength of the Asgardians.

Hmh, I hope most of these deleted scenes end up on the DVD/BD, and someone makes a extended edition out of them. I think they would actually make the film better, 'cause I think it lacked.

Hopefully it'll be back on the DVD.

I read all the scenes they left out and I am like damm , they are all sound like really good scenes . its too bad , they better have them on the dvd . A extended version would be fantastic .

Didn't they leave out that shot of Thor standing in front of fire in Asgard from the end of the SDCC footage? That wasn't in the movie.

I think that was part of the scene where Frigga and Odin have a talk about the banishment. I can't be positive.

After seeing this film once more, I noticed more clearly on how they had really cut out a lot of shots (alternative ones) that we had seen in the trailer from the final cut of Thor.

I was just thinking about these and you know the very FIRST pic we saw of Thor? I don't recall that scene either.

Jaime says that some of the more overt Thor/Sif was cut out.
Fandral flirting with Darcy by the bifrost disappeared although you can still see him holding her hand in the background.
Friggas scenes were cut down.

I love to see more scenes involving Thor and Sif and the Warriors Three. Especially Sif though... question is, will there be a director's cut?

I hope in the second film, we learn more about the characters and the 9 realms. There is a lot I dunno :( about but I'd rather be taking in by how it is explained on screen.

Well there's supposed to be 20 minutes of deleted scenes added to the dvd. Thing we don't know is if they'll add the scenes back into the movie or put them in a special section.

Either way it would be really cool to see those deleted scenes. I love when DVDs include deleted scenes and 20 minutes worth would be a nice bonus.

Well There are some computer programs that allow you to edit some dvds like that. It would be cool to do but my laptops player is the regular DVD and I THINK those scenes are going to only be Bluray. :(

Yeah I don't know if they'll have the scenes on both or not, but I do plan to get the BEST version of the movie so I'll get a blu ray, They are coming down in price.

Yeah I know. I'm going to get a prepaid Visa for one.

Reading the script for the first time. I noticed some scenes not being in the movie, like:

* There's no scene, when Loki reveals his true self to Laufey & then Laufey says: "Ah, the bastard son. I thought
Odin had killed you. That’s what I would have done. He’s as weak as you are
."

I've been doing some research on the Norse legends and I found out an interesting factoid here. Laufey is actually female in the Norse mythology. Marvel for some reason made her a he. It would be nice if they introduced the character of Farbauti, Loki's other genetic contributor. That scene and the dialogue in the spoiler could easily be given to Farbauti. Oh, and Loki in the Norse legends also has two biologically connected brothers too who are Frost Giants.
