Days of Future Past First Class Deleted Scenes Thread

I hope some sort of Ultimate Cut is released someday in which every deleted scene is placed in the movie. I'd love to see how the missing scenes would alter the plot and characterization.

I would really love to see that.

I'm getting real tired of these X-Men movies showing scenes in the trailer that aren't in the final movie. It wasn't *as bad* this time around, because the only one I noticed was the Magneto one in the Russian compound, but it's still frustrating.

Anyone else think it was a good idea to cut that stabbing scene? I do.

Killing any Russian soldiers on Russian soil during a CIA incursion would lead to a LOT of problems and would need to be discussed at one point in the plot. Instead, Shaw uses it as a throw away line later. It's much better this way. Plus, Erik killing Nazi bastards is cool but killing a soldier for doing his job makes him less sympathetic. At that point, he's still the cool anti-hero. It goes against what Charles and he talk about the night before the missile crisis.

Good cut IMO.

Were these scenes at the movie? Dont remember...

ups...i guess i dont know how to put pics here...anyway...

- the Mystique pic where she is looking through a window in a blue dress

and

- Shaw and Angel seated in the Sub sofa and drinking

weren't in the movie right?

I believe the scene of Shaw and Angel drinking together was shown for a brief second in the movie.

Okay, the first aforementioned pic is found in the picture gallery thread. That would have been before when Hank is looking at their cells in the lab. I wonder what she was thinking about.

Kudos to finding another edited scene.

Might be right. Lucas mentioned there was a backstory for Havok where he was protecting his foster sister.
The scene is in one of the b-rolls available at traileraddict - and yes, it does give the background of why he's in prison in the first place.

But that doesn't mean they film any scenes at all for his backstory.

I found a scene towards the end with Moira and Charles (on wheel chair) talking like in the movie. However we can see the 3 X-men (Havok, Beast and Banshee)in the back playing football. I wonder why they were left out. Also if i'm not wrong, Beast is in his human form.

is the scene really avaiable??

I think you answered your own question...

The bigger question is why Beast was in human form...

It's possible they felt it was distracting and they just wanted the audience to focus on Xavier and Moira.

Im watching the behind the scenes now...

yeah, its really weird Hank is in his human form.... maybe there was a previous scene where they tell he already developed the device to make him look human....

but it would be too soon, in the first movie...... dont you think?

Wow can you post some screencaps from the scene :woot:.

I think it's best for you to see it.

If it's too distracting, perhaps they can be shown playing football then the camera panned towards Charles and Moira then the scene continues like in the movie. I kinda wanna see the 3 X-men casually play around the mansion. It's a shame it got cut out !

This movie would have been 4 hrs long. Can't believe they cut this much stuff and it was still over 2hrs. Vaughn must have had a lot of stuff.

I'd love that too. But they don't seem willing to do it. Fox did release extended cuts of Daredevil and Fantastic Four but they have left the X-Men movies untouched.

Yeah, didn't Singer intend for the X-Men 1.5 DVD to have all of the deleted scenes put back in? I remember reading that.

Link please?:word:

It starts at 1:48:

Daredevil was a much much better movie in extended cut edition.

I guess they might do X-men extended edition when the franchise became less popular and they want to milk the old X-men movies they have in the vault.
