So I noticed this movie has a few deleted scenes from the trailers! Discuss them here.

- Magneto walking through the hallway in the Russian house and turning the knife on the Russian soldier and making him stab himself.

- Havok shooting his powers outside the mansion

Those are the only ones I notice from the trailers but I remember hearing rumblings about a scene where Havok kills someone attacking his sister. Anymore?

I don't know if it counts as deleted, but there's the extended chess scene with Erik and Charles where Erik is standing up, and the part where he says "Cheers".

i could have sworn that the scene when Erik makes the Russian soldier stab himself was in the movie  or perhaps it was just shot at a different angle than what was shown in the trailer originally

I'm getting real tired of these X-Men movies showing scenes in the trailer that aren't in the final movie. It wasn't *as bad* this time around, because the only one I noticed was the Magneto one in the Russian compound, but it's still frustrating.

I would like instead of a DVD with *Delete Scenes* a full-on extended edition. Is that possible??? Matthew Vaughn I know you're reading this!

Oh c'mon, it's not exclusive to X-Men movies and you know it.

Hey, it happens all the time, though. Scenes get cut. What you see in a tv spot or a trailer, doesn't always make it into the final movie. It sucks, but it happens very frequently. I say blame the MPAA.. :p

Nope. When he gets into the house the only thing he does is stop two guys with guns.

Not so much a deleted scene, but another case of the trailers using different footage -- "Peace was never an option." They had a different take in the trailers because Fassbender delivered it differently and with more intensity.

I'm wondering where Havok shooting beams out of his hands fits in considering he shoots out of his chest when he has Hank's device equipped but has the hula hoops shoot out from his body without it.

Well, he's still having a lot of trouble controlling it.

With time, I'm sure they'll do something with it so that he'll be able to channel it through the hands if necessary.

I've heard there was originally going to be more of a subplot of a romance between Charles and Moira but Matthew decided to cut it. I guess that will find it's way to the DVD/blu ray.

Awww...maybe you should write a letter to Fox asking for your money back then.

Jesus christ, its comments like that, that make this forum look like the joke it is.

its the damn movie industry, just because they put scenes in a trailer doesn't mean they have to be in the film.

Yeah, I remember that. I was kind of disappointed to see that it didn't make it in the final film. The look on Eric's face was so badass when he's doing that.

trailer: listen very carefully my friend, killing will not bring you peace
movie: listen very carefully my friend, killing SHAW will not bring you peace

Thats not a deleted scene. That is just the trailer not giving away the plot of the film.

I was wondering if there was going to be a topic like this!

Yeah, there's no need to complain at all. Almost everything in all of the footage we saw before the movie made it in, which is very rare. The only obvious scene that doesn't exist in the movie is the Havok one. The others are just different cuts or shortened edits.

For example: more Erik attacking Russian guards, Banshee's stunt double diving in the water, different shot of Banshee rising, different shot of Emma's interrogation intro (which I liked more!), etc.

Haha but they did cut that one short bit of them laughing at Banshee's failed flying attempt. I thought that was really cute and it showed a softer side of Magneto enjoying himself. It would only add one second more to the movie!!

I thought that last bit was in the movie???

They shouldn't removed a scene from Havok and Banshee!!!

The scene was in the movie, but the quick reaction shot of Erik, Havok and Mystique laughing was cut. I thought that was the best part of the scene!

Did the film have that scene where Xavier telling Magneto that a new species was being born and that he should help guide it? I'm fairly sure it wasn't in there.

Kick Ass apparently had about 20 mins cut out... yet to be released

A lot of Xavier stuff was removed, it seems. I wish they had kept this. :csad:
