Endgame Thor/God of Thunder - Chris Hemsworth

they can do that? They credited her so does she get paid for Endgame?

I'd think they'd have to... otherwise, whenever someone makes a film, they could film twice as many scenes and then use the extra for a sequel, and not pay the actor. I'd think the SAG would go bonkers about unpaid use of cut scenes.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but Thor at the end with his hair reminded me of John Travolta from Battlefield Earth.

I want every figure of shaggy, beer-bellied Thor that I can find. I hope Hot Toys makes one.

This came to me today... In this form we should christen the character...

Thorbowski.

All those in agreement say AYE.

I kind of love where they went with Thor. It was all kinds of "oh my god", but I get it. Honestly, I do get how he'd end up like that.
And hey, Thor can take advice. Thanos told him to go for the head and oh my goodness he did! I also kind of love that he got that moment with his mother. A great deal of closure where he gets himself back on track again.

Words can't describe how hyped I am to see Guardians 3 now. Thor is a Guardian now. That's kind of amazing. I kind of wonder how that all worked out. Did Gunn end up asking for Thor when he started writing Vol 3 way back? Or was it revealed to him that Thor would be available if he wanted to use him?

Anyways, I'm glad to see Thor off being an adventurer. He's lost so much in his life that it is kind of perfect where he ends up. And I did love when he went dual-wielding for the last fight.

Honestly, had certain events taken place prior to this film, I wouldn't have been against it, like at all.

If Thor had gotten fat in "Infinity War" instead and was allowed to be his badass self in "Endgame" then I would have settled for that entirely.

I still don't get on why Thor had to become super obese in order to convey the idea that he fallen to a low point. Long hair and bigger beard sure, maybe even a few pounds heavier. But to make him fatter than Volstagg was just unnecessary imho.

Plus, him abandoning his responsibilities as a king in favor of traveling with the Guardians felt like a irresponsible thing. They did not even give us a reason as to why he wanted to travel with them. If he had at least stated that his intent was to find more survivors and lead them back to Earth then I would have at least understood his logic there. But instead, his so called ending made it look like he didn't want to be responsible anymore and just decided to call it quits in favor of having fun traveling with the guardians.

In no way, shape or form was he "fatter than Volstagg."

I totally understand why they went the route they did with Thor. But I'll be honest. I'm a fanboi and thought it was just a tiny bit too much

And yes, wish he'd had a moment where he was a genuine mvp for a second... Kind of like a "we didn't lose because Thor..." moment, as opposed to a "We won because Thor...", if you know what I mean.
I know he had that in IW, I'm talking about just a moment. Just to 'lift' him from his lesser standing through the film.

I absolutely LOVED the final scene when Thor was
was outright mocking Quill in his ship. That last "of course" was brilliant.

I genuinely believe Chris Hemsworth is one of the best actors of the entire bunch. EASILY up there with RDjr.

All I could think when he was on the cliff was ashes throwing scene from Lebowski :funny:

first fans wanted Thor to go for the head, now they want to him to go for his own stomach! I love how Hemsworth out Pratted Pratt on that last scene. great stuff. Its takes a big man to be the bigger pratt. Wondering how kooky Thor will go in the next guardians installment if he is to be involved? Thor seems to be a little unstable at the moment not knowing where he will end up. Weird and wacky adventures ahead , I hope! Release the Hemsworth and give that man a new contract

RIP "Mighty" Thor

Congrats on this profoundly ridiculous post

Granted, talking in all seriousness about something so fleeting and superficial as superheroes can render it difficult to say something that could be considered profound ;) However, if we chose, for the fun of it, to take it seriously, I think that each and everyone is entitled to their opinion, specifically if there is enough ground to argue for a maltreatement of Thor :)

Huh? Though yes, I should utilize the ignore function because that particular opinion will be repeated over and over again all over this board by this poster and imho that particular post is seriously insulting toward the creators and Hemsworth

Men I laughed hard at that.
His mannerism and delivery is pitch perfect. So funny. :D

Thor subtlety pulls the rug from under Star Lord’s “authority”. Then again Thor is that type of character that will be happy just to tag along and doesn’t necessarily want to steal the thunder from anyone. He has plenty of that already. :D

I understand, we are all invested in the franchise, even emotionally. So am I, and I am equally insulted that they failed to deliver for me, imho. Unfortunately, there is no movie that pleases all. I was lucky with basically all past MCU-movies; I suppose I was due for a misfire, and am just even more disappointed that it happened to be the "epic" conclusion. People need to vent ;) I think fat Thor is insulting to the Thor of IW and Ragnarok. Though, on a side note, I think the multimillionaires benefiting from this movie can handle a handful of fans being outraged ;)
I am glad you liked the movie :)

I am so excited for Quill looking even worse than he did already in comparison to Thor (I really don't like Pratt)

Okay my turn to rant. It could upset Thor fans so you may not want to read on.

This is bad. They may as well put Darryl the accountant in his house telling him the kingdom finances are a mess, bonds are defaulted and the IMF isn’t going to pump more money not even as humanitarian relief for a few more laughs.

There is a saying, when the going gets tough, the toughs .. whatever doesn’t kill you makes you ..... never mind. Yeah half of the people disappeared because of whatever he didn’t do but there are survivors left who need their leader. Turning his back on them and holing himself up, becoming a melted ice cream is a sign of weakness for a 15 year olds not a “hero” of 1,500 years old who have been through it all. No he is definitely not fit for a king; criticizing Valkyrie when she turned her back when she didn’t even have a kingdom to lead is hypocritical.

Any redemption arc for this buffoon to win me back will be long and hard, and until then, go away. Don’t come back.

Rants over. Back to normal channel.

It’s good to read so many excuses of how to handle profound depression. For years. As someone who should think about others. Yeah it’s woe is me, me me me. So great for a “king”
