Godzilla, issue 23.

Godzilla's a *****. Thor's taken down Fafnir, Fin Fang Foom, and the Midgard Serpent. Any one of them would hand Godzilla his/her/its ass. :p

As for Ares, not only could Thor and Hercules both beat him, they have both beaten him. Multiple times, I think.

Thor, easily. Hercules shows his inner suckyness in Kingdom Hearts 2.

Thor couldn't beat Godzilla, and Godzilla gave the Avengers and FF4 much trouble. Yet, they couldn't beat him physically. Want to read the comics?

And response to Kingdom Hearts, thats a Disney Hercules.

Not only do I not want to, I'm actively trying to think of a word that fully describes how much I don't...

Nope, nothing's coming to me. :(

So, you dont want to read them yet you say Godzilla is weak? Kind of an ignorant thing to say.

Hey does anyone know is Herc is back up to full power?

I know Zues depowered him pre-onslaught, and during Avengers Volume three he mentions to Thor how his "godly power is diminshed"

I've heard no mention of anything beyond that. If the Ares miniseries is in coninuity then I imagine he is back at full power (it would only make sense for Zues to give him back his godly might/immortality)

Anyone know for sure?

has anyone even read the new Ares Mini?
he's gonna be a member of the Avengers soon. not sure when though.

I thought they just said he was gonna be on a team, nothing about the Avengers, or has that changed?

I've been enjoying the Ares mini-series. Oeming tends to be pretty liberal with power levels, though, so if he and Herc come to blows and he beats Hercules, I wouldn't be surprised. It flies in the face of pretty much every previous fight they've had in Marvel canon, though.

Blissfully so. You should know a thing or two about that, given that 1) you believe Thor is a Greek god and 2) your entire basis for saying Thor would win this fight is that he hurt Godzilla and Hercules got beat by the Hulk. :)

Ok, I dont know why I said he was a Greek God. Odin would be so upset :( But I dont think you read my statement clearly. I said both of them fought Hulk and Thor seemed to have done better. And I used another example to show Thor's strength by saying he hurt Godzilla.

Thor is more powerful and wins although Hercules is a better fighter.

They both ultimately lost to the Hulk more often than not. Thor's won maybe once or twice, and he's lost in fights that were a lot more one-sided than the Hulk's fight with Hercules. I'd say that if Hercules and Thor had the same number of fights against the Hulk, rather than Thor's many and Hercules' one notable one, their records would be about the same. Neither of them seems to be able to outdo the Hulk on brute strength in a straight fistfight, and they're both dumb enough to keep fighting the Hulk on those terms.

er...thor isn't from olympus. Thor if i'm correct is from Asgard.

as for the match, i'm sure it must have been done before. If i remember correctly hercules is actually stronger than thor but with his hammer thor has a greater advantage in actual combat and takes the victory.
Thor doesn't need to use his hammer to call on the weather. So I think in a fight with thier powers Thor would win, but, I think Herc would win in a phiscal fight.

They're all the same. :o
Which proves once again why you're an idiot. So I suppose X-men: Evolution's version of Wolverine (who can be stopped with one kick in the shin courtesy of Kitty Pride) is the same as the raging killer of the 616 books. :o

Namor single-handedly took down Ares.

Everybody has at some point. I justify it by saying an individual battle isn't a war, so Ares can lose those. But really it's just because he sucks. :(
