Producer Brad Winderbaum talking about the chemistry between Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo.
“Sometimes when we’re watching them, I swear it’s like watching Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon” “It’s like they were born to share the screen. It’s wild. I think you could easily base another movie on the partnership between these two maniacal.”

I really hope we get a new trailer this week.

I would expect we will, Ragnarok's promo campaign has followed the exact same timetable as Doctor Strange's last year, I see no reason why they would deviate from it now. And on Tuesday we're only four weeks away from the first international release date, so it makes sense.

Theory about what happens to Odin. I was listening to the audio book of Neil Gaiman's 'Norse Mythology,' and I'm wondering if they will combine two stories. One of the myths has Odin having a dream about a wolf, a serpent, and a kid, and that it has something to do with ragnorak and a bunch of gods head out and find Loki's children (hel, fenrir, world serpent). The other story is balder having dreams about ragnarok and Odin goes to Hel and asks her what it's about.

Since Balder is not in the movies, I could see a combination of these where Odin dreams and goes to visit Hela to talk to her about it, and that somehow results in his disappearance.

The thing is we already know of what happens to Odin in the context of the movie. [BLACKOUT]Loki banished Odin to Earth[/BLACKOUT].

I didn't know that. I thought it possible that Loki came back to Asgard at whatever point and Odin was already missing and he just took his place.

It's most likely going to be some sort of a draw. And even though it might be getting old the draw is a result that perfectly fits the "Thor vs Hulk" rivalry. They should be evenly matched, that's what also makes their partnership/rivalry so special... always trying to "one up" each other, friendly rivalry, Thor knows that Hulk is no joke and Hulk knows that Thor will never back down from proving he is as powerful if not more than the Hulk. Thor is the one character the can really connect with the Hulk and have a friendly bond.

Still don't care for it

I'm saying all of Marvel Studios hero Vs hero fights are inconclusive, that's getting old. What's the point in having characters continually fight if there's never any winner.

They are staying true to the Marvel Comics theme that heroes fight each other because of misunderstandings or extenuating circumstances. Only fanboys really care about who wins and loses.

That applies to anything, nobody likes a draw in boxing or MMA either.

In boxing and MMA that's the entire thing. When heroes fight heroes it's usually just a step on the way to the actual climactic conflict. It's not a clean comparison.

There's only been one MCU film where the hero vs hero conflict has been the climactic battle, and there we had a definitive winner. There's been other hero vs hero fights with winners as well, but none were as important.

We still didn't have a definitive winner, because the Winter Soldier jumped in to help Cap

So I guess Iron Man was clear winner of their one on one fight.

The fight was set up as Cap and Bucky vs Iron Man, which is natural since Iron Man is at a higher level than both of them. I didn't say it had to be a one on one fight, I just said that the only time it really mattered for the story there was a definitive outcome.

It kind of matters in this story as well, Thor is fighting for his freedom and Hulk is doing his job as the champion.

As much more of a Hulk fan I would obviously like to see him win. But considering this is a Thor movie I doubt they will let that happen. I have accepted this already.

And to be fair, Thor is certainly powerful enough to take Hulk down in a fight. So I wouldn't have the same problems I had with the Hulkbuster fight and some of the fights in CW.

Yeah it's not really a far fetched thing at all.

The Hulkbuster Vs Hulk fight was awesome, but I certainly didn't agree with the outcome. As well as quite a few of the fights in Captain America: Civil War.

I just didn't find the way the Hulkbuster fight ended satisfactory. Plus considering who he was fighting, Tony had it too easy for me.

But anyway, yeah, Thor is more than capable of beating Hulk, and considering its his movie, I won't mind too much if he wins.

I still choose to see Hulk's defeat coming from him calming down after getting rid of the madness and seeing what he had done, which I think is fine. Going with that also further supports the ending of the film.

Thor is certainly more capable of defeating Hulk though, but I think they will do something that causes the Grandmaster to take them out. When they sit and talk at the end of the trailer, and feel like they are hotheaded fools, it seems like the fight is the most likely thing they are talking about out of the things we know about.

It also seems like it would make more sense in the context of the story for their to be a clear victor.

I really really really really REALLY hope Thor and Hulk do battle in the streets.

They've talked about a chase scene, but I want to see a BATTLE.

We see Hulk getting angry again though just before he is knocked out. It annoys me even more. Hulk looking shamed and the reverting back to Banner would have been a much better ending to that fight.

Agree with both of you regarding Ragnorak though, I can see something else stopping the fight. But in story terms of Thor won it might be better, as he may he has somewhat redeemed himself after his defeat and banishment by Hela.

I'll bet it at least winds up in the grandstands, and I'll also bet that's where we see Stan Lee.

I would like to know the content of that "set exclusive.

In the new issue of SciFiNow Chris Hemsworth talks a bit about that scene in particular.
"Today's scene involves the Hulk chasing me through the streets of Sakaar," "The Hulk is not too happy, so i am running quick to get away from him. It's a fun scene.

So i've read through the SciFiNow issue and there are no new images but there are a few new details. Here are some of them...

- Thor has long hair for 20 to 30% of the movie.
- About 75 to 80% of the material in the film is based on content from the comics.
- At least 4 planets will be visited in the movie. Muspelheim, Asgard, Earth and Sakaar.
- It took 4 moths to build the set for Sakaar.
- There’s a lot of action in the movie. “Intense action scenes.”
- “The Grandmaster is an enormously fun, larger-than-life character who is charming and mysterious and dangerous.”
- “Valkyrie experienced something terrible and she has been running away from it. She’s a victim of post-traumatic stress…”
- “Hela represents a darker time on Asgard. She is a horrible, dangerous creature who is incredibly charismatic and very fun to watch.”
