This feels like a bad acid trip.

Hulk needs to breath, and can't fly at all. Throwing him into space is entirely a victory.

Hulk adapted to being able to breathe underwater in Incredible Hulk 77 - 81 Tempest Fugit. Then on his trip to Earth in Planet Hulk it was implied he didn't need to breath in space either, when he stood atop the stone ship as it flew from Sakaar to Earth. This is not to suggest there has not been other Artist renditions that have required Hulk to breath. It just simply goes to show what I was saying about speculation and the Artists and writers having the final say on power levels and ultimately would decide who would win in a fight.

As for Hulk Flying, I never said he was able to fly. I only said that the artists could come up with a creative way for him to return. My thought was a Solar Flare launches him from the Sun. As to whether someone considers that a win or not is up to the individual. Some people like yourself would call it a win while others would not, as they would just say it was undecided because the battle did not continue.

Anyways, I like both Thor and Hulk and I am just looking forward to the battle.

No, Hulk does not need to breath. Comics in the early 1970's showed Hulk's ability to adapt to water and space environments.

It's true that many writers tend to write their own take on a character, often times neglecting a character's ability. Hulk tends to be one of these characters whose feats get swept under the rug. In the latest Marvel Handbooks, Hulk's adaptability is mentioned.

Just saw a new Thor Ragnarok tv spot during Will and Grace. All I can say is Naked Bruce Banner who "has a condition" is back.

I hope that "million to fun" line isn't in the actual movie. That's the first thing that's made me wince a little.

Yeah, I agree. Fun for the audience. Great! Fun for for the characters, suggests there is no threat.

Now people can really hear Thor frustration and anger when he says "I've lost my home, I've lost my hammer..." and he's starting to get really worked up about it when Banner holds him and kind of takes it down a notch by saying "You've cut your hair, it looks good on you" this is probably the first time Thor and Banner meet and Banner is kind of trying to comfort Thor complementing him even though he most likely doesn't know that they cut is hair agains his will.

Really great moment there and knowing the context of the scene in the movie it really helps to value the interaction.

And in case you care about TLJ, probably a trailer for that too. ;)

I'm certain Thor and Loki will end up on Sakaar as a direct result of Hela knocking them out of the bifrost.

Well know we'll finally get to see them breathe in and survive in the vacuum of outer space.

As Surfer said it's up to the artist, as there's been stories where Hulk had to hold his breath as well. Avengers Assemble, about 4 years ago, was pretty pro Hulk but it showed him having to get oxygen and then hold his breath, and almost fainting afterwards, so it definitely differs depending on the story.

Just like how powerhouses at some points seem unbeatable and at other points lose to comparatively weak opponents.

Loki already did that when he fell into the 'abyss'- since he's still kicking, it shouldn't be a shocker that Thor can handle it.

But we didn't SEE it, seeing something is a lot different than it happening off screen.

What will be really interesting is seeing how they propel themselves through space to get somewhere. Normally I"d say they wouldn't show my whackier theory, but after seeing those 2 Ruffalo moments, I am afraid they might (for the first time, I am concerned, thanks to those...)

They will be sucked into wormholes.

Why'd you only quote me partially. The above quote is my response to Surfer from the same post.

I must have been distracted while reading (I was having a conversation with someone at the time) so I forgot that part and when I made my way back up to respond I somehow ignored the other part as not being part of it. My bad there.

Nice!!! I hope Korg gets some decent screen time.

There should be a good chance for that as it sounds like they expanded the role a bit during filming.
