New TV spot. This stuff is gold xD

Don''t spoil it for me, but Hulk better say his classic line "No, (fill in the blank with whoever) Hulk is the Strongest One There is!"

This needs to happen.

Rachel House. She's been in a majority of Taika's movies.

Any idea on if she is playing a known Marvel character or is her character original and she is just along for the ride.

Surfer

She's playing one of the Grandmaster's guards, but I'd imagine she's is just an original character. She's briefly seen in one of the trailers.

She plays Topaz

Ah nevermind lol. That I did not know.

Yes, it's an original character. There is a character in the comics called Topaz, who's an enchantress, but she's not playing that one.

YES Marvel. This is how you should alway released your TV Clips.
Spotless HD! Loved this scene... laughed hard.

That clip got me hyped more than anything I've seen since the first trailer. Now I'm going to try to avoid anything else for the next 3 weeks so I can go in fresh.

Okay, thanks everyone for the clarification.

Even more than Thor landing charged with lightning at the end of the 2nd trailer?

It's getting harder and harder to keep myself from watching any of the new footage that's coming out. I think I need a journey of self discovery to uncover new powers. :woot:

Even moreso because Thor's power is on full display in this TV spot and the humor is spot on.

Luckily my local theater plays classic movies and is showing some of my favorites this month so that's going to keep me from going nuts the next few weeks. I'm seeing Friday the 13th tomorrow, The Lost Boys next week, and then The Crow the week after. I love October :)

Sounds like a really good diversion. Mine is unfortunately not quite as fun as I'm required to work a lot, even though I do like my job. I'm going to have to put in 70+ hours this week alone and a business trip starting mid next week. The good part is that everything pretty much ends just before Ragnarok premiers, so I do have a nice reward waiting. :)

At least you'll be busy. It'll make the time fly :) I used to work those crazy hours too (because I love my job) until my kid was born. I've cut back big time since then.

Yes, it will certainly help the wait.

Sounds like you made a good choice there. I've gotten to the point where I've been able to negotiate a lowering of my working hours without losing any of my salary, but at times I'm required to work a lot to keep projects going, which will result in a lot of extra days off afterwards. I won't have any trouble finding time to watch Ragnarok multiple times if I should desire. :)

Despite all that I can't stop checking in here on a frequent basis and get tempted to watch things.

Does anybody think the Hammer destruction change of location had to do with either the adding or elimination of scenes?

The alley effects seemed 100% complete. It just seems weird that they would change just that one scene. Obviously the scenes before and after had to be altered as well.

Think we'll ever get the full story?

By the way I really miss that taking place on earth in a big city. So many of Thor's battles were on the streets of New York -- Wrecker, Enchanters, Destroyer, Loki, Executioner, Hercules, etc.

I'm glad the movie takes place off earth, but that one scene I liked and already miss! LOL.

Its a bit odd. The alley setting looks way more polished and finished. The field looks kinda flat and unfinished. For example, the strap on the hammer drops when Hela stops it and catches it in the alley (as it should) but it stays up vertical in the field. Plus we have the shattered hammer hitting the hard concrete but the field doesn't have any of that. Even Hemsworth throwing the hammer looks more energetic in the alley, and a bit of a lazier toss in the field.

Best guess is the field back drop might have been a placeholder until they finished the FX for the Hela, the hammer being caught and shattered etc.

If not then for whatever reason they changed the story so Thor & Loki end up on some field/island or something after meeting up with Strange & (presumably) hobo Odin in New York.

The characters on Earth I tolerated in the first film, but were unbearable in the last film.

Thor's franchise definately dropped the ball on giving us some good ol fashioned street battles.

Thor 1 was set in that lame ass desert town and Thor: TDW's battle with Malekith and Thor started off well, but got kind of lame with all the dimension shifting and Thor relying FAR tio heavily on Mjolnir.

Well actually [BLACKOUT]people who have seen and spoiled the movie say the field is in the final cut and the alley is cut out.[/BLACKOUT]

One spoiler I wouldn't mind from people who've already seen it is the final location of Mjolnir's demise. Field or alley? And if there's a change, does it feel justified? This is my most burning question at the moment. Every other unclear detail is something I can wait for the answer to but this thing is bugging me hardcore. Especially since it feels like the last minute(?) change has effected the visual quality of the scene.
