Thor: Ragnarok The Official News and Speculation Thread - - Part 11

The other day i was watching a John Campea video and he talked about Thor Ragnarok saying that the "early buzz was very good". Independently of what one may think about him and his own opinions he is someone who appears to have some inside knowledge and people from the industry that may tell him stuff once in a while and i really do think that he has heard some "very good" things about TR hence his short comments on the buzz for the movie.

Some more people have seen the "Sneak Peak" and called it "amazing". Still no details about the content of that footage...

The bloggers invited to the TR event will see the movie on Tuesday (October 10th).

I want me some Skurge today.

Man we haven't seen hardly anything Skurge related geez, we still don't know if the Bloodaxe has any powers.

True actually, hadn't thought of that.

I saw this on Reddit. I had never seen this before... it's really awesome.:woot:
TIL That when Thor was announced to have his own movie in 2011, Marvel celebrated by releasing a "Thor Goes Hollywood" variant line, with art depicting Thor in homage to other great Hollywood films.

Nobody has its really been an after thought on these boards, I find that weird since its such an important part of Surge and his story.

However I suspect those flames around those fallen Asgardian soldiers where Hela struts by will be caused by Skurge's axe (hopefully).

Yep, hope so.

Entertainment Weekly interview with Idris Elba.
“I like that I have a little part in Thor. I’m neither movie star or day player. It allows me to do other things I love.” But he continues: “The last one [Ragnarok] was fun. The others weren’t fun. They’re work. But on this one, Taika [Waititi, the director] was great.”

Mark Ruffalo on Twitter relating to that South Korean poster. :yay:
Where can I get one? #ThorRagnarok

Not surprised Elba enjoyed working on Ragnarok more than the other Thor movies. Taika is the Man.

Random question made to Sam Neill on Twitter and Mark Ruffalo also chimed in.:woot:
On a scale of 1-10, how handsome is @TaikaWaititi?

SN - He's off the scale.

MR - Umm 12?

Oh man that image looks pretty sweet... Hela with her hellhound.
I can't wait to see their interactions with each other. I wonder what does that post by Taika really means though. "Soon"? Something is coming.

NEW FOOTAGE! Mostly about Valkyrie this time has surfaced online. I don't know where it came from but it seems to be those behind the scenes interviews with new footage sprinkled here and there while Tessa Thompson in full Valkyrie gear answered the question of "Who is Valkyrie?". Here is a description of what happens in the short clipped shown that looked to be much longer so i wonder if it is the "Sneak Peek" footage.

Valkyrie riding on the pegasus and facing Hela is perfection. Different angles on all of the Valkyries charging on Hela and the imagery is just breathtaking. Loki recognizes and is surprised by Valkyrie. She is extremely fast and just handles him like a boss.

The 'Thor Ragnarok' review embargo lifts Thursday, 10/19 at 9:00am PST.
