NEW FOOTAGE! Mostly about Valkyrie this time has surfaced online. I don't know where it came from but it seems to be those behind the scenes interviews with new footage sprinkled here and there while Tessa Thompson in full Valkyrie gear answered the question of "Who is Valkyrie?". Here is a description of what happens in the short clipped shown that looked to be much longer so i wonder if it is the "Sneak Peek" footage.

Valkyrie riding on the pegasus and facing Hela is perfection. Different angles on all of the Valkyries charging on Hela and the imagery is just breathtaking. Loki recognizes and is surprised by Valkyrie. She is extremely fast and just handles him like a boss.

Sounds like one of those Disney on-set videos. ET just also released some new footage in their segment highlighting Hela. Even an extended look at the Hammer-breaking scene that was reshot.

Lots of new Hela footage, nice.

Still not sold on the scenery change, it looks off for some reason or another. Like, okay, maybe the composition is actually technically FINE, maybe the CGI is spot on, but I'm so damn "attached" to the visual of the alleyway. I don't really know how to properly describe the sensation, but I should clarify that I don't care about the alleyway as much as some might, but my eyes and even my memory of the shot are so used to the alleyway that it's extremely jarring to my mind to see those shots take place in front of a different backdrop.

It's so weird and uncomfortable to be having this kind of problem with a movie that otherwise looks perfect. Hopefully it just sort of passes after repeat viewings.

And social-media embargo lifts this Sunday. But that's par for the course with Marvel, right? They've usually got it and flaunt it.

6:08 PM - 6 Oct 2017

So it looks like the embargo is lifting in a day or two. Huge show of confidence and it looks like they might have a winner in their hands.

Oh and how do you guys normally post tweets here? Evidently I don't know the proper way :woot:

Has the finished movie been shown? Lifting the embargo on social media implies -- yes, it has.

I really hope they come out and address the change. Seems so random and odd this late in the game.

I hope that doesn't mean they cut out a chunk of the movie and had to relocate that scene!

YES, I'M STILL WORRIED ABOUT THE RUN TIME! :woot:

I specifically like these 3 too. :cwink::woot:

Why would they need to address something that we're not even entirely sure is a change in the first place? Isn't it at all possible that they're actually part of the same scene? I notice that ET showed clips of both the alley and the 'field' (which also appears to be next to a body of water), I'm not sure if Marvel would allow them to show clips of the 'alley' scene if it was no longer in the final movie, I may be wrong though. In the comics Hela is an extremely powerful illusionist, so maybe the simplest explanation is that the 'field' is actually an illusion created by Hela (which would explain the slightly unreal look to it) which then falls away to reveal the alleyway.

Or maybe they're even two separate scenes and Thor (or someone else) is having a premonition of Hela breaking Mjolnir in one location but then it actually happens in another. Who knows? Everyone seems to be automatically jumping to conclusions, let's just wait and see.

In other news though, dear lord Hela is such a badass! :drl: There are some insane shots in that ET video, especially how she's just throwing Thor around like it's nothing. And that shot of them running at each other?? So freaking epic. Patiently waiting for the Cate fans on tumblr to gif every second of that video. :woot:

"kneel"

heh.

That is some amazing stuff. But if that Mjolnir moment gets photobombed by a random cow, I will be irked.

Yeah after seeing the ET video, I had the same thought as well.

My mistake folks, the embargo is lifted on Thursday October 19, not this coming Thursday.

What does Valkyrie say after she pins Loki? I can't make it out.

'Choose your next words wisely'

Also yeah that Hela pasted onto the pasture background looks real real bad. Intrigued as to how that looks in the film and what it is about

The 'Thor Ragnarok' review embargo lifts Thursday, 10/19 at 9:00am PST.

This is excellent news concerning the movie. That's a full 2 weeks before the movie comes out so it means they are very confident in the final product. If you take a look at the last few Marvel movies that came out through the years and when their respective embargos we're released, the one for TR is one of the earliest to be lifted which in theory bodes really well for the overall quality of the movie.

When the review embargo for MCU movies was released in the last few years:

Captain America: CW - 24 days before release.
Thor Ragnarok - 14 days
Captain America: WS - 14 days
GOTG2 - 11 days
Avengers: AOU - 10 days
Spider-Man: HC - 9 days
Doctor Strange - 9 days
Ant-Man - 9 days
GOTG - 8 days
GOTG - 7 days
