Love all the reactions so far... except the one that said this is a "self-contained MCU story." Back in either June or July, Kevin Feige said that Ragnarok would dramatically change the MCU and lead directly into Infinity War... doesn't that sound like the opposite of a self-contained story?

Winter Soldier was pretty self-contained and changed the MCU landscape nonetheless. I can see Ragnarok doing the same thing.

To your question... not necessarily. It will certainly change the MCU landscape going forward with everything that we know so far/has been hinted at, that happen in TR having big repercussions in the future of the MCU.

Me on the other hand really liked hearing that it's a "self-contained MCU story". I don't want go in to watch another episode of something bigger. I want a "pocket" story where one can go through it without necessarily having to watch everything else. There are going to be some hints here and there and then the post-credits scenes do the job of paving the war to IW... The rest and biggest focus of this film should always be making it a great Thor movie.

Well he said it best. Hit the nail on the head.

Just to add my 2 cents i would say that there is plenty of stuff that happens in TR that will change drastically the MCU landscape in the future...
- Thor with no mjolnir.
- The destruction of Asgard. The "police of the Nine Realms".
- Most likely the death of some important figures like Odin.
- Hulk being more conscious and able to talk freely.
- The introduction of a strong new female hero in Valkyrie for the future as well.
- The whereabouts of all the powerful artifacts in Asgard.
- Hela possibly becoming Death herself.
- The introduction of the "Soul Stone".

There will be a ton more tweets tomorrow because Disney is flying out its mommy blogger army for a screening and group interview with the cast.

I hope Warriors Three and Sif haven't been forgotten; it's one thing that I'm disappointed about Ragranok, as if they have been reduced to minor roles instead of Thor's best and most loyal companions from the previous 2 Thor movies.

I guess we gotta wait and see. I fear for Hogun safety. Great to see him come to the forefront of the asgardian army in the square. Sif and the rest of the members are in the movie so we are probably going to see them in some capacity.

Tomorrow should be a pretty exciting day as well for TR. The movie premiere, the cast and crew interview, Chris Hemsworth on Jimmy Kimmel, all the Twitter reactions that should drop as well... Exciting times. :yay:

I specifically like these 3 too. :cwink::woot:

Just really digging the look of the film from these clips. Feels more cinematic.

The mommy bloggers are using the hashtag #ThorRagnarokEvent over the next two days. They're usually good for info and reactions.

I am pretty sure that the Soul Stone is going to be in TR.

Thor is so happy. Hulk is massive and Loki is petrified.
