Thor's franchise definately dropped the ball on giving us some good ol fashioned street battles.

Thor 1 was set in that lame ass desert town and Thor: TDW's battle with Malekith and Thor started off well, but got kind of lame with all the dimension shifting and Thor relying FAR tio heavily on Mjolnir.

I agree 100%

I know they wanted to have the little desert town be a change of pace, but so many Thor battles were in city streets........
I guess they had just done Hulk vs. Abomination in NYC and knew that Avengers was going to be a city battle as well so they gave us something different.

But little desert towns scream "budget saver" -- just like "East Houston, Idaho" in Superman II all those years ago.

One spoiler I wouldn't mind from people who've already seen it is the final location of Mjolnir's demise. Field or alley? And if there's a change, does it feel justified? This is my most burning question at the moment. Every other unclear detail is something I can wait for the answer to but this thing is bugging me hardcore. Especially since it feels like the last minute(?) change has effected the visual quality of the scene.

See my post #625

So close on opening day and there are already spoilers thread here., I may be avoiding this board for a while until I see it...to avoid some un-intentional spoiler's post :)

really cannot wait until 3rd November...

Ragnarok (or it is "Mighty Thor:Battle Royale" in here) will be face to face against IT on the same day...
It will be an event day for a fan like myself. So happy and excited! :)

The characters on Earth I tolerated in the first film, but were unbearable in the last film.

Yeah, and I don't really want to have to tolerate characters. Just because they're human doesn't mean they can't be great characters, but they weren't.

"Revengers" :lmao: Seems like the huge amount of improvisation worked really well for this movie, that scene was so funny and well acted by Ruffalo, Hemsworth and Thompson.

It's become a minefield in here. I miss the pre-spoiler days...

Between the alley hammer scene and the lighting of the Hulk/Fenris fight, I don't remember the last time I saw these many changes in the final cut compared to the final trailer. I wonder what else is different.

Chris Hemsworth and Taika Waititi at the Australian premiere.

Man I wish there was Jörmungandr in the movie.

I just hope the field change looks better in the final cut. Hulk however just keeps looking better and better in each new iteration of his shots.

I get that Fenris is a supernatural monster, but I can't see the Hulk killing a dog onscreen. My guess is that Banner will be riding that mfer into battle.

Is there a strict no spoilers thread? Because marketing is starting to get to that point where I am gonna have to start looking away at eveything.

The only thing that's changed in the Hulk/Fenris fight (besides better CGI), is the design of the rainbow bridge above them. And, quite frankly, I like the previous design better.

Haha, that would be crazy.

The new design looks like some modern highway made out of various computer cables.

Whoa, I hadn't thought of that! Best not be any canine killing because I don't want to have to cover any little eyes.

Some people on twitter are saying that the cast have filmed an interview with James Corden for the Late Late Show, I haven't seen any official word anywhere about when it's supposed to air though. Cate is going to be on Ellen on Monday, I imagine we'll be getting word of some more interviews with the cast on various shows soon. The promo machine has only just started. :woot:
