I loved the murals and learning about the history of Asgard. I think it makes it more interesting going back and watching the first two Thor movies now, knowing the context of how Asgard came to power.

Have you guys seen this? According to these two guys who work for Framestore (who did some additional FX for Ragnarok), Fenris was actually female in this movie... If that's true, what on earth was the point of making a change like that for no reason and that no one noticed anyway?

Fenris is definitely male in both the comics and original mythology, he's Loki's son and Hela's brother. I have no idea why they'd bother changing the gender of a CGI wolf when that gender is never even mentioned on screen at any point... but then again, MCU Fenris bears very little resemblance to comics Fenris anyway. MCU Fenris is much more like Garm (or Garmr), Hela's giant hel-hound who guards the gates of Hel in the comics and mythology. Garm can be either male or female, depending on the story.

Taika extracted so much chemistry out of his cast. Even more than the humor, overall inspiration, improvisational skills... it's the natural way the relationships flow with great interactions all around. All sprinkled with just a ease and smooth flow throughout. Taika is truly a hero in his own right.

@satellite_lab are my mates who created the look for Valkyrie's flashback in Thor: Ragnarok. It's the first time in cinema history that this lighting technique has been used and my good friends @carlovanderoer @stuetr are behind it. This was an early test of their tech when they were developing the concept a few years ago. Smart lads.

Well well well... Check this deleted scene out. Now for the important part...

"I didn't miss my father's death because he was murdered right in front of me, by my sister, whom i didn't know existed because she was kept a secret from me my hole life."

So i guess that alley scene played out quite differently. I guess what was shot first was Hela killing Odin but then they decided to change it with Odin passing in his own terms.

Oh, yay. More scenes that should have had an actual emotional impact, but were instead played for comedy.

I can only guess they cut it out because they did enough of that in every other scene in this movie.
