I'm a little bit torn on Hela's look. Cate is my favorite actress, but I'm not enjoying this Evanescence edge on the design. It's all very Enchantress right now, from smudgy make-up and hair to regal goddess look with a big headdress. And yet, I also kind of love this, she looks very sexy. My expectations for Hela are sky high, they better not waste her.

Exactly how I feel about her look. And agreed about wasting her. If she is treated like Malekith Im going to be furious. Unfortunately after 14 Marvel films I should probably stop expecting decent fleshed out villains.

Yes - a very good question! Lots of "funny" colours - if i look at the pictures!

I wanted a REAL "Ragnorak" - dark, grim and fearsome...
Till now it looks and SOUNDS like we get a comedy!!!

"Ragnorak" seems to be a "funny event" in the MCU!

The movie comes out in November so I'd expect the first trailer in May. Probably with GOTG2.

It's amazing to see something new and impactful brought to the Thor franchise. It's balls to the wall crazy and awesome. Futuristic and crazy cool.

Anyone else getting Flash Gordon vibes from those photos? I'm loving the colors already. Kate looks sexy as hell and I really can't wait to see what they do with her in this. Also, Goldblum is looking awesome and I'm glad they didn't hide him under gallons of makeup.

Can't wait to see a trailer for this.

The look with the headdress IS Hela as she's been portrayed for decades though. Asgardians SN their ilk all wear crazy stuff.

This film looks and sounds risky as ****! The color palette is even more vibrant and crazy then Guardians. Love the new look for Thor, Goldblum looks dope, Hela looks good as long as the headpiece is still in the film, Valkyrie's look is disappointing but if the actress nails the part, whatever. Almost looks like the X-Men producers designed her costume, though.

I'm liking the images, especially the non-cover ones.

Thor works well with short hair, Cate can rock anything, and I like how the Grandmaster has his visual cues from the Collector.

All this. My only problem is all the talk of humor being a big factor. The director is talented and I trust him but... well the issues I had with TDW come from the humor. In the films from the MCU I have been disappointed with in any way it's because I felt they put more effort into the gags and humor than anything else. Still I like what I see so far.

I didn't criticize the headdress, that's mandatory for the character, it's the smudgy make-up. It's just a picture though, and Hela remains as my most expected character from superhero films remaining this year.

I don't like being that guy, but if you take issue with the colour palette of the film, you take issue with Kirby's four colour epic art.

I adore the fact that Taika and Marvel are going hell for leather in terms of the visuals of the film. Refreshing and bold.

Thor has pretty consistently been one of the more goofy Marvel titles. Especially all the best runs like Kirby, Simonson, JMS. The hardcore metal stuff has been hit-or-miss through the years. The humor in the first Thor was bloody brilliant, Dark World was definitely a mixed bag.

I'm actually quite glad we haven't seen him in this initial wave of info/photos. Hope the early marketing is indicative that their really gonna push this as a Thor movie, not a Thor/Hulk movie.

Other way around. Guess you've never seen Hela in the comics.

Valkyrie looks too plain and could just be be any average asgardian warrior.
