Thor: Ragnarok The Official News and Speculation Thread - Part 7

I know you are joking and all but it's very interesting that every single other trailer in that list is from a 1 bill MCU film :)

Oh and another small detailed i noticed in the footage from the Teaser Trailer. When Thor drops in Sakaar and greets the aliens with "Hi there" he has his red cape over the 2 shoulders but later on when Valkyrie brings him in and they cut his hair, the cape is only over 1 shoulder. I think that's part of a battle that takes place when he gets captured and we have seen some hints from set pictures.

Another interesting thing i would like to point out has to do with Chris Hemsworth physique for the movie and how you can see some different and subtle changes. In the Muspelheim scenes and some in Sakaar he just looks massive while in the last scene of the Teaser when he enters the arena you notice that he has lost quite a lot of mass and he is know much more lean. I think that has to do with that particular scene being something added later on in filming.

Here are some different looks at CH physique during the film.

Hey,I hope it reaches the milestone. Thor deserves a great and highly successful movie. He's my second favourite Marvel hero after Spider-Man.

Btw apparently Marvel has dropped a "Special Look"/"TV Spot" for Thor Ragnarok. It's basically a condensed version of the Teaser Trailer with no new footage, edited bits and music.

I hope we get a cover before SDCC.

By the way, was that picture of Hulk wearing beads legit or fan made?

It was from a D23 magazine, so yeah I would say it's pretty legit and we probably can even see it in the D23 event. Everything else on those pages was legit so it wouldn't make sense if that particular image wasn't.

And then we have seen/heard that Hulk is kinda worshiped in Sakaar as a god and their champion. We have seen that insane bed and I woul bet we are also going to see a more laid back version of the Hulk too hence the "shorts", beads, bed, weapons, armour... all made for him.

Since we have seen Hulk's bed etc, I wonder if he's Hulk the entire time and if Banner just pops up if Thor knocks him out or something? It would make sense for the bed, as a calm Hulk in the past would have transformed back, but then again Banner is seen in a nice suit so I guess it makes sense that he too has been given benefits.

It will be interesting to see what the Hulk/Banner situation will be.

Still VERY curious if we get a Talking Hulk or not.

Say what when did we see hulks bed?

Surely that means he stays Hulk a lot of the time and hopefully we get more words from him. Although a smarter hulk should also recognise Thor.

Definitely interesting to see the dynamic. I hope it's actually discussed and explained rather than just suddenly Hulk is more in control

The helmet in the original movie kept falling off, so they stopped using it. I guess the arena helmet is designed to better stay on his head.

I know they had problems with that helmet, but you'd think they could have found a way to make it work by now.

I don't want him to be a Chatty Cathy but he needs to talk. I love his "Puny god" line in Avengers. The line showed that he can talk smack and think.

I think it could be explained that whilst Banner was letting him out in A1 and AoU he was still holding back and controlling him which meant limited words.

Now Hulk is completely out and free essentially he can develop

Yup. It "kept falling off" is utter crap. They don't want him to wear it. It doesn't seem practical in the MCU which is too bad. He still doesn't look like Thor without it. They could make it work if they wanted to

He is definitely Thor nd looks like Thor. A helmet doesn't negate a character's look when everything else is there. MOS Superman doesn't have trunks but he still looks like Superman.

Hulk's bed I guess we saw about a month ago. Looked bloody awesome.

Edit: oh here's a link

There is actually a question about it since he didn't talk at all in AOU so i don't know where your certainty is coming from...

Obviously you haven't read Planet Hulk. Read that then come talk to me...

I am CERTAIN Hulk will talk. Quote me on that, endaxi?

An fun little thing about Thor popped up in Homecoming.

Apparently Megingjord exists in the MCU. It's in the inventory of stuff being moved from Avengers Tower to the compound, but Happy has trouble pronouncing it and eventually just says "Thor's magic belt".

Point is, Thor's helmet is such an iconic part of his classic appearance. It just seems a part of him is visually missing

I love that this apparently means Thor just left some of his **** at the tower. I wonder if he just casually took some of Tony's stuff to Asgard too, like he's just leaving and taking random items between worlds.

lmao KICK BUTT!

I rather agree. Thor should have his helmet; though it doesn't ruin it for me.

I had forgotten about the belt. In the mythology, it doubled his strength.

Was the above ever part of the comics?
