itd be a universe shaking fight i reckon....if glads were fully confident in the battle..it'd be an interesting one.

only problem with having a hero so powerful...is you need a villain just as powerful to counteract him.
i know the void is just that...but i'd prefer it be something less of an internal struggle for him.

that said supermans worst enemy is probably luthor...and he has no power in comparison....i'd like to see a villain like that against him.

i must admit i love superman to bits..but it has been dull of late..ive even thought of dropping it...im still liking superman/batman though!

I'm not totally struck of the new JLA either.....for me everything is at marvel at the moment.

I love Supes too, **** i've dressed up as him for Holloween for 3 years straight, but he has no good villians. Lex is a classic villian, but **** him, I wanna see a powerhouse, not a real estate mogul.

ive always like darkseid versus superman.

but i agree a new powerful deadly villain is needed of darkseid proportions for the man of steel.

i also dressed up as superman for a stag do....i was dancing in a suspended cage with a girl towards the end of the night...that mustve been a sight to see superman dirty dancing with some girl in a dancing cage!

As far as I can tell, the Sentry is the Voids *****. Period. All he can do is keep him at bay and continue to use his powers with the best of intentions because the moment he slips up, the Void will crush his frontal lobe. Not your typical villain hero relationship. He doesn't really ever win against him.

Presuming the Void's statements can be more or less taken literally then the Sentry has roughly 100,000 times the level of strength that a human being in peak physical condition can possess. Now, strangely, that actually informs us that he's weaker than the Hulk at his strongest since we've seen the Hulk lift something weighing BILLIONS of tons.

Now while some of the Sentry's abilities aren't exaggerated human ones (the ability to fly, the ability to absorb energy from the sun, and the ability to manipulate light like Dazzler.....), for the most part we can assume this is about accurate. Plus, the super powers that aren't Super Soldier Serum can be attributed to Weapon X's involvement and its gene therapy with mutant abilities.

That's his power level.

As for his POPULARITY...

The Sentry already has a song in "A Million Exploding Suns." That's more than Black Bolt ever had.

I suppose the biggest obstacle to the Sentry becoming a genuinely popular hero is the fact that he's insane. I mean, Peter parker is an every day problem sort of guy and easily relatable too. Captain America is the ideal. Superman is the ideal. Batman is just the dark part of our place that wishes someone would clean up the streets.

The Sentry's problem is that he's schizophrenic and his darker side isn't just a lovable green menace. The Sentry's problem is a guy that wants to conjure himself and kill everyone on the entire planet.

Really, THIS is the guy that needs to be banished to a peaceful world.
