Tim Roth is Emil Blonsky/Abomination in The Incredible Hulk!

Sans scales and fin-ears, I think a 12ft tall monster is pretty memorable. I like the new Abomb. I never really liked his comic appearance, so to me it was a welcome change. I think movie go-ers will be pleased.
agreed

Because I do.

And a slap in the face? PUH-LEEZ! A slap in the face is making Galactus a f**king fart cloud. At least Abom is a physical being.

Don't get me wrong here, this is a very well done manip. That said, I'm glad we're not getting anything like this. Looks like The Creature From The Black Lagoon got into Sly Stallone's steroid cabinet.

I agree, it looks like the creature from that movie...

Abomination has a nose...if he gave him a nose, it would look better

Tim Roth as the Abomination is going to make me want to see this movie at least four to five times. Everything about the Abomination in this movie screams badass.

Ahlman has posted a manip of the Abomination to look closer to the comic book appearance in the Manips/Fan Art Thread but I thought I would post it here for him.

Check it out, it is pretty cool!

So what you're trying to say is:

Yeah. Because palette swaps are always compelling.

I would imagine the Red Hulk as bursting into flames when enraged; the transformation could be a pyrokenetic event. The character's face would be based on the actor's; it wouldn't be a recycled Hulk model painted red. The green Hulk should have a softer muscle tone (where as the red Hulk should be ripped with veins popping). The green Hulk shoud have a more ape like appearance; while the red Hulk should be more square jawed.

Red Hulk is a shill Joe Q. House of Lack of Ideas character. There is only one Hulk, Bruce Banner, and it sucks that certain Editors in Chief and their writers do not understand that the Hulk character is NOT a costume that other people can wear, or change color to get cheap intrest. When they did the Grey Hulk 20 years ago, it was a fresh take on what many thought was a stale, brick character. And all that it was is that Milgrom and especially Peter David went back to the first Hulk issues and brought that version of the Hulk back. And it was a renaissance for the Hulk because of that. But they just used what was there, and PAD wrote some awesome stories out of it.

What Joe Q. has signed off on, at great character expense (again), is someone who doesn't respect and work with given continuity to make something good. He just made something to market, and it's paper thin.

Please excuse my Comic-centered rant...

I really hope some people from the movie see this or something like it on the internet, cuz it's eight times more faithful to the comic look, and it isn't even much of a difference. But there's only one thing I want them to get on Abomination: HE BETTER TALK ALOT AND SOUND VERY INTELLIGENT. I don't care if he doesn't turn out to be KGB, the FBI or CIA would do fine. Him sounding really smart whil Hulk just spouts out four-word-max-sentences would play off of each other BEAUTIFULLY I think. The way Radical pulled it off in IH:UD worked wonderfully, IMO. I love how Abomination is not only way more powerful(before Hulk get's angry), but how he talks down on the Hulk. As long as they keep away from third person I'm good. A couple "Hulk Smash" and "Hulk Strongest One There Is" would be fine, but they shouldn't go overboard.

Then you're going to be...

...really disappointed. Hulk has one line and Abomination has none.

Come on. :lmao:

That looks a hell of a lot better than Swamp Thing.

This is exceptional work. That is Abomination.

omg it does it does, lol im still gettin this regardless i love collecting, and nothings wrong with this look imo this looks more realistic to what would happen if you got some bad radiation, think about it you get bad gamma radiation and turn into a fish like monster.

Because I do.

please, if you cant come up with a good reason, dont bother defending LL reason for not making Abom like he is in the comics. You do know that Hulk and Banner are very much like Jeykell and Hyde right?... you think "regular" movie goers sit in the cinema thinking about that?

That is my defense: Leterrier's reasoning. Why? Because he's making the damn film. And in this film... in this "world"... it's what he is doing. It's not going to change.

"I really wanted to justify [Abomination’s] appearance. I really wanted to wrap my head around the original scaley-with-big-ears monster that was in the comic book, but I couldn’t justify it. The guy isn’t crossed with a fish; he’s not crossed with a lizard. Just like the Hulk he’s an über-human — his body, everything, grows out. And the way he gets injected with the serum, he’s shot in the skin and the muscles, and shot inside the spine. That makes his bones grow thicker and bigger and longer, making him a super-weapon. So he’s got that spine that flares out, which becomes a weapon. He’s got elbows that stick out and become these martial arts, Chinese knives — things that can slash back and forth. He’s got this tongue thing and the heel-spikes… so he’s a killing machine. It’s pretty cool, it’s funny. He’s got bones sticking out, so it becomes like an exo-skeleton which he uses as armour..."

Simple. Logical. Finite.

And as for "regular" movie goers... they don't know jack s**t about the character anyway. I highly, HIGHLY doubt that the average boob will walk out the theatre cursing and screaming at the screen "DAMN THAT LOUIS LETERRIER! ABOMINATION DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THOSE POINTY EARS! AND WHERE WERE THE SCALES?! WHAT AN OUTRAGE!!!"

Maybe if we're lucky, Abomination will turn out to be permawhite, too while he's at it. :whatever:

his reasoning of why HIS design looks the way he does is fine. Yeah Stan lee never went into detail as to why Abom looked the way he did, but it would have taken all of 2mins of dialogue to make it work. Your bit at the end about how people dont care what he looks like, yeah, its true cause they dont know about him, as long as he looked cool and formidable, they wouldnt have cared. THe pic i posted IS cool and formidable IMO.

And if he was faithful to the comic, they wouldn't care either.

I guess the Hulk should have elf ears and scales too, huh? Yeah, all of the Gamma related creatures need to look like human sized fish. :word:
And by your logic, the Hulk should have an exoskeleton which he uses as a weapon, fins along his back, and be completely bald.

We are seriously arguing in circles here. I don't think you have the capacity to consider another point of view, judging by your posts.

Oh please. :whatever: You men and your rampant testosterone fooling you into thinking crap is good. You can't tell me you weren't bothered by the blase way Optimus treated Jazz's death in the movie. That was so out of character. I'll go watch something far superior like Terminator 2.

And to Abomination critics, why don't you wait and see if they get the essence of the character right. I myself can accept physical deviations in character designs if they get the character's continuity right.

Well, we already know they didnt get the character's continuity right. Blonsky was a spy in the comics, not an american soldier.

Mind you; im on board with the movie Abomination. Just pointing out that Louis hardly got the "essence" and "continuity" of the character right at all.

:abom:

That's exactly the same as I thought, it looks asif he just changed it through personal prefence, I really do like the new design but still would rather have something that atleast resembles the classic abomb.

Agreed.
