Tim Roth is Emil Blonsky/Abomination in The Incredible Hulk!

I loved Blonsky in this new trailer. They finally showed him on the serum, dodging the two metal shields as they swiped own.

Blonsky has some giant brass ones to walk up toe to toe with the freakin Hulk and ask "Is that all you got?"

more believeable?... have you actually seen the new version?... you do know that this a movie about a guy that gets angry and turns into a ginat green man right?... Emil is much more easier to bring to the big screen than Hulk/ Banner is.
Think about, wouldnt other governments want to know about Hulk?... wouldnt they send people to get info on him?...

and how the hell is this more unbelieveable than what we got?

and no, dont give me that crap about him looking like a lizard and it wont make sense, 5 mins of dialogue would clear that up.

Being in the 'pro comic Abomination design' camp myself, I saw this manip and just immediately thought how badass it looks.

if Abom looked like that i'd have no problems at all with this movie. everything looks perfect to me so far except him, and it really does piss me off. the whole time i will be thinking "what could have been"

I feel your pain - the convoluted explanations of why the design was changed just don't cut it with me; as Sava said, they couldve easily come up with something to expalin why he looks the way he does in the comicbook for the movie.

The simple fact is the LL has changed a classic design of a major character. Normally, something like that wouldnt stand around here.

We've seen people literally rage and rant for years on these boards about some really superfluous changes made to characters appearances in these films and yet a major change like this is suddenly so easy for some folk to take.

I really can't understand it.

Love the look on The Hulks face right before he kicks him. I wish he would say "puny human."

How do we know he doesn't? Trailers can be very deceiving with their jump cuts. Maybe they want to keep Hulk's voice a secret till the end. Wouldn't it be a kick if they asked Lou Ferrigno to provide the voice?

We don't know and yeah it would be great. :word:

Blonsky in the trailer showed exactly what I look for in a good enemy. He showed arrogance, thinking the hulk couldn't hurt him right before greenskin kicked him away. He showed fear, when he's examining himself in the mirror and we see his raised spine. He showed pain, when he was being injected with the syrum, it's good to see these enemies aren't invunerable imo. Lastly he showed determination, after an encounter with the hulk he tells ross he wants to get right back in there. So imo blonsky is turing out to be a perfect villain and will shine in this movie, my only hope is his altered state, the abombination, is more than a one dimensional, smash things, enemy.

They already have.

This image does look good. But my only problem is the shade of green that was used. It looks much too unnaturally shiny and plastic like.

They already have.

Well then, that seriously has me stoked for this movie.

Maybe because people have grown up since 'black uniforms' and 'organic webshooters', and that Abomb still looks reptilian, in an unconventional way?

Tim Roth's done a great job as Blonsky from what I've seen. The only thing that annoys me is post-injection Blonsky. They could've done something...anything...to show how he's changed. If Captain America can have a huge physique, there's no reason why Blonsky couldn't (especially after more doses).

Since the change is gradual I think we most likely will, but they just didn't show it in the trailer.

Sometimes I do wish for threads like bakerboy's ORGANICS SUCK!!!!!! thread. Those were fun times....fun times indeed.....

what i'm wondering(and HOPING for) is that in the final product he will have the ears. LL mentioned they were keeping them, and as we've seen they keep adding new effects. C'mon they read the boards lets talk about the ears!!!

i doubt they'd add the ears

I think abomination looks fantastic

the hulk cgi might be questionable at times but their is no doubt to me that Abom looks great

After watching each new TV spot, I can say that he's looking quite amazing.

abom looked amazing right from the get go.

I am guessing they will never refer to him as the Abomination, other than some line like "what is that abomination?" so that it makes fans bother other people in the theater by telling them what that meant?

Having him referred to as "an abomination" makes more sense than Blonsky walking up and saying "Hi, I'm Emil, I'll be your Abomination today."

Or Emil could get a look at what he looks like in his final form from some reflective surface and declare himself an Abomination because he can't change back like Banner can which leads to his rampage.

He said he kept the ears but made them different, if you watch the trailers, in some scenes you can see that Abomination has flat human looking ears.
