Tim Roth is Emil Blonsky/Abomination in The Incredible Hulk!

You are reading too much into this, when I said a little change I wasn't directly referring to this, I meant period, a little change is okay. Btw, I don't know what you're looking at but the Abomination is bald, he certainly doesn't have any hair in any of the other incarnations. You're just a fanboy who wants everything to be the same as in the comics. This change is for the better.

lol, dude, you are talking to a fan of Ang's movie, come on now, if i was what you said, i would hate that. About the bald bit, yeah, he never had hair, but he had bumps and little boils or some s**t like that, plus his ears took your attention away from his head. He just never had clean shaven head like he does in the movie. I think you think that i hate this design, i dont. As a movie monster, its great, he looks like he can kick Hulk's ass. I'm just sad that they changed so much but still kept his name. If you change Roths' characters' name to anything else, there's nothing there to connect him to Abom. They dont call the monster by his name, Emil isnt a power hungry guy and he didnt work for the US army. Abom is the thing that impressed me most in the trailer. But he isnt Abom, there's nothing there that connect him to the one from the comics, i would have liked him the same if they changed his name to something else, so would the general public IMO.

I still have no problem with the Abomination's backstory being changed a little bit. I still find this design to be much better than in the comics & it's a lot more interesting. Sure, there are some signifcant changes from the comics but what we're getting is still pretty good & I have no complaints. If we were to get the Abomination like he were originally in the comics & there was a lot of work put into the design so that it looked good, I'd have no problem with it being in the movie.

exactly, i dont think the general public would have cared to be honest, for most of them, this would be the first time they see him, make him look great and they'd be fine. Ofcourse his backstory would have to be changed. They could still keep the spy stuff.

We just have different opinions on this but like I said, I prefer this design, it catches my interest a lot more than the original design. I really can't wait to see Blonsky/Abomination in action.

What do you mean if he looks like in the trailer? Of course he'll look like he does in the trailer, why would the look change?

will you now until the premiere force everything into me?
i said that i need to see more of him.
i need to see hes whole back and a full body shot where he only stands.

you know what i am saying. dont try this on me now.

The more I freeze frame the clip, the more I notice the comic book details: a few knots on the noggin (I think), lizard lips, darkness under the eyes, lumpy brow, and two toes...good enough for me!

A little change?... lets see, is Emil a power hunrgy *****ebag in the comics? (i'm talking about the issue Stan wrote, not the countless "new" origins), the answer is no. Does Abom's origin involve the super soldier serum at all?... nope. Is Abom's colour Brown/green?... nope. Does Abom have bones sticking out of him?... nope. Is he bald?... nope. Does he have five toes?... nope. Sorry, a litte change is an understatement. Thats like making Hulk bald, changing his colour to pink and making him gay. What?... he still turns into a monster when he gets angry right?

oh my goodness.:whatever:

Ahlman has posted a manip of the Abomination to look closer to the comic book appearance in the Manips/Fan Art Thread but I thought I would post it here for him.

Check it out, it is pretty cool!

this is pretty cool. i guess they could have made it work with it being subtle so that the main audience doesn't really realize they are scales but the fans can have what they want.

I don't have any real problems with what I've seen of the new design for the Abomination, but that manip is pretty cool.

Yeah, it is. However, if that face were to be what they would've went with, in the long run it'd have to be worked on to be a little better. That manip is cool but on screen that design would need some work. I'm not trying to knock the manip though.

Obviously, a professional version, with a multi-million dollar budget, would be a little more polished than a homemade photoshop job. Conceptually, however, it's interesting.

how the hell do you know?... you got a what if machine?

Its a slap in the face to the fans that have read the books for so long, the fans that love the villain as much as the hero, Abom is one of Marvels best IMO. He's like a bad version of the hero, like Venom. Yeah Stan didnt say why he had ears like that or scales but it wouldnt have taken more than 5 mins to explain them. The difference between comic book fans and the general public is that the GP havent heard of Abom, they havent seen him yet. Trust them like Stan trusted the comic book fans. I really dont see why the general public WONT like this

Because I do.

And a slap in the face? PUH-LEEZ! A slap in the face is making Galactus a f**king fart cloud. At least Abom is a physical being.

Don't get me wrong here, this is a very well done manip. That said, I'm glad we're not getting anything like this. Looks like The Creature From The Black Lagoon got into Sly Stallone's steroid cabinet.

So, what would you rate the design of the Abomination? I say 10/10.

Hell, I'd give it a 10. Why not? Kicks ass, IMO.

Which coincidentally is what the Abomination actually looks like.

In the comics, yes. And it works. However, I believe Leterrier's rationale makes more sense in terms of the "reality" they're trying to achieve.
