Tim Roth is Emil Blonsky/Abomination in The Incredible Hulk!

I agree. The Villains in any given movie, regardless of genre, are always getting killed off. It seems not killing off your nemesis in a film is a radically innovative choice.

We really need a movie with a villain that survives and comes back.

Btw, for villains getting killed off, I actually wouldn't mind if it happened to Lex Luthor because they used him too damn much.

I'd like for Abom to live on and be sort of like Magneto was to the X-Men movies. Just constantly ****ing with Banner's head.

I'm sure even if he dies, they could still find a way of bringing him back. Thats the nature of these movies.

If he dies the way the first draft had it, he's not coming back.

That's what I'm hoping, and what will probably happen. Peter David wrote the novel off of a different draft the screenplay, so there'd be no reason to give us false hope.

I'm sure it's changed to some extent as I don't see the need to kill off such a great villain when he could easily be used in other movies.

It's not like Hulk's rogue gallery is big to begin with. Off the top of my head, Blonsky and Sterns are the only foes worth talking about. Killing one of the prominent ones this early could be disastrous if Norton envisions this in parts.

Then why bother to kill him in the first place if you are going to bring him back. Now if he were dead on ice & the Leader brought him back to life I'd that senario.

After seeing it, I have to wonder what was Blonksy's motivation for just going nuts and trashing everyone around him, including his former comrades once he turned. I assume the serum just drove him nuts and caused him to want to just showcase his power to everything around him.

Yeah I think the power just made him want to use it in any way he could.
He just wanted to USE it.

I couldn't tell though at the end...did he just give up?
I mean Betty stopped hulk from breaking his neck, but it seems like he wouldn't just leave him there and run away if Abom could still get up.
It will be interesting to see what they do in the future with Blonsky.

Can he turn back?

Will he just be referred to as in lock down in some government facility?

He mentioned to Ross that if he could put what he knew now in his body 10 years back, he would. His entire storyline arc seemed fueled by the desire to be challenged again, coupled with some derangement from the Super-Soldier project. When he says "Ross!" as the Abomination, it sounds like he considers Ross an annoyance at best. Blonsky doesn't seem to have loyalty to anything by the end.

Can he turn back?

If the AICN interview with Roth is to be believed, he might be able to in a sequel.

And I would just like to say that this character completely made this movie for me. Just awesomeness.

i didnt see the movie yet , but yea what was his motivation why in the world would he change himself into a monster intead of just shooting him down or finding some weapon.

He wanted physical improvement. It's one thing to have a snazzy weapon- eventually, other people can access it and you'll be back at square one. Just another has-been. But when you're a weapon unto yourself like the Hulk, there's no way to "phase you out." All of the sudden, your age means nothing. You can create conflict at a whim. That's what Blonsky came to want.

If it wasn't obvious, after he regenerated himself the supersoldier serum was clearly having an effect on his state of mind. His aggressiveness was through the roof.

He literally lifted Sterns off his feet to turn him into the Abomination.

So happy they
kept ABOMB alive
.

Have him locked up in a SHIELD facility or something.

It became an addiction, the power. Over the hill soldier wants more power and to get his rocks off. He just so happens to get his rocks off through combat and challenges. It worked really well here.

A feat which I'm curious as to how they will accomplish.

Maybe that's how he gets cured. They find a way to nullify the serum and keep him sedated so he won't...."Abomyout" or something.

They're SHIELD, they'll think of something.

Like a prison three miles underground. They did it at the end of WWH. Why not in the sequel?

Also, in the novel, its stated that Stark and SHIELD had him locked up in some facility called the vault.
