I'm ready for some effing Titanfall. Really I'm ready for any new game.

I planned on buying this for the PC...but now I have my doubts. Not because of this or that reason...But because I'm am damn sick and tired of competitive MP. I thought I was just tired of the Halo's and the Call of Duty's...but after playing BF4 since launch..To me it just seems that I'm tired of the game type.

I love me some online 4 team co-op and whatnot...but I'm just ruined on Competitive. Not because I suck at it or anything.. I'm just flat out tired of it. Tired of the communities constantly b&ming when they die a lot so this thing is nerffed or that thing is made Uber. I..Just can't take that kind of stuff anymore.

I know what ya mean. Over the last 5 plus years, my desire for competitive MP has really decreased and Im not completely sure why. Take Splinter Cell: Blacklist for example. I can count on one hand how many MP matches I played in that game. When Chaos Theory came out, I lived on that MP. Its not that Black Lists MP is bad, FAR from it actually, I just for one reason or another, didnt feel like playing against other people.

The only MP game I really play right now is Battlefield 4 and even then, the amount of time spent with that game is FAR lower than say BF3 or Bad Company and again, its not that i don't think the game is good, I love it.

Maybe its because I used to game with a group of people much more frequently than I do now? Most of the people I used to game with are moving on, getting married, getting real jobs and Im kinda stuck here, looking around as everyone advances themselves.

I still game with the same group of friends and we just.. Kind of all feel the same way. We're all really looking forward to Destiny, Evolve and The Division.. Games we can all just play together and live in that world with no real worries about people complaining about stupid crap to get this nerffed PR that made user..

Prime example was Halo 4 and why I detest 343 so much.. They listen to the WORST complaints out there. People went on the Halo forums and wined about how the Tank was too tank and that you could just get in a tank and stay in the same tank all level long... So what did 343 do? Nerffed the tank SO bad that you could take one out with a sticky grenade... Not one.. Not two.. A single sticky.

Now these guys didn't bother to figure out that you could easily take out a tank with a plasma pistol charge and a rocket launcher (readily available through each map) no.. They just wanted to cry about it and they go their way.

That sort of crap is what's ruining MP gaming. I have no problem saying someone is better than me at something but the BS that goes on in MP just kills me. Also, I fully believe that MLG is also responsible for the decline of MP gaming as they believe things should be catered to them.. They're not even that good. A group of four of my buddies had a complaint filed on us in Halo (reach I believe.. Can't remember which) from a MLG group and their complaint? We knew the weapons too good..

Wtf?

Hopefully TF doesn't suffer the same fate.. But.. I feel it may.

Ah yea I agree completely. In my experience, these devs tend to listen to the vocal minority. Gamers, overall, are REALLY, REALLY good at whining.

Oh no.. Work in EB/GameStop for one day. That is your vocal minority that MP devs tend to listen to. Gamers crybaby lot. They cried about MS and their original policy.. So MS reversed then they cried about that because now they can't do game sharing. They cried about how unsecure and unstable PSN was so Sony added a paywall (helps stability and security) so they cried about having to pay.. They cried about no BC so Sony introduced Playstation Now and some gamers are now crying about having to pay for games they already own (even tho you pay for a service that will unlock pretty much every Playstation game from the past.. Not just the few you already have.)

While some moaning is justifiable at times.. (Microsoft 's original stance for example) but these same gamers make the rest of us look bad. They can also ruin a good game by complaining about the "fairness" of it on a message board. Cry loud enough and people will eventually join your cause and you'll get dev team attention. I mean, they just CAN'T have a group of 20 quit even tho there are THOUSANDS of players still playing and enjoying said game. Gotta cater to the cry baby minority!

This. Iv worked FAR too long in gaming related retail to know the makeup of the consumers in this industry. You'd think the whiney, entitled brats are confined to the comments section of a gaming blog, but nope, they exist in real life.

Also, theres a difference between stating that gamers whine a lot, vs sitting on your computer, spewing vitriol at a developer because one has deemed a gun to be "over powered" or wanting to return a game(and expecting a refund) because you "didnt like the ending".

And if there's one other thing that annoys me about gamers, apart from the whining, it's the hyper defensiveness. The kind of people that jump on the attack when anyone dares to 'critique' the industry in anyway. I still think the way people treated Anita Sarkeesian was deplorable when all she did was critique an aspect of games that needed critiquing.

I agree about the crappy mlg players. They're ruining online mp. Thankfully halo is really the only game that listens to mlg gamers really intently. I don't think Titanfall will do that and I'm just going off of how they handled Mw2, the changes they made to post release were really excellent although alot of its mp problems were just stupid design choices.

Yeah, I may just be pissy over what happened (or at least FEELS like happened) in BF4. Seems like it only takes one C4 to blow up a tank now. Before I had to plop 3-4 C4 units on a tank to kill it.

Buuuuuut people were complaining about running out of "C4 ammo" because tanks were.. You know.. Tanks.. and now after the latest update BOOM..One C4 and done. I read that beside stability updates they also balanced a few things.. I always worry when I read the word balance, haha.

As a guy who likes his tanks... I'm...Annoyed by this. It of course just extends over into all MP gaming in general. The Respawn guys seem like good guys, I mean they came out and said don't hate us for the no PS4 version as they fully intended on putting it on PS4 and that the MS exclusive deal was backdoor with EA and MS.. That's pretty cool, it's honest and open and I really like it.

That being said.. I worry about EA.

Yea, the problem with the MP crowd is they want to win. Which I get, I detest losing, but the issue is they want to win, every situation, every time. Meaning if they get killed by a tank, well then thats not fair, or its OP. Its not the fact that they happened to be by themselves, using an assault class, no, its the games fault, that tank was OP, and these people tend to be the ones flooding the games official message boards.

Im sure Titanfall will run into similar situations. I can almost guarantee you, come the first week of March, we will all hear how a particular Titan is over powered, regardless of rather it actually is or not. Someone will get blasted by a Titan and automatically jump to the conclusion that its OP.

Yeah, I can't begin to tell you how many people still, to this day run up to me in a tank and just shoot me with their assault riffles... It blows my mind. I have a feeling that it's those guys that are griefing.

My approach to that situation is to a) pray that the tank doesnt see me, or b) accept my fate and wait for the inevitable blast that'll send me to oblivion.

I doubt you deliberately run up to a tank as if it your main goal in attempt to take it down with your BB Gun.. I too have stumbled upon tanks and if I don't have any anti-war weaponry I just try to either run away if possible or let it run over me.

Haha nope. If im using the assault class and i hear that distinct sound of a tank approaching i usually ask "is that our tank heading this way or their", once iv confirmed it is in fact an enemy tank, i briefly panic, then find a spot to lay low. If im using an Engineer class? Well, bring it on!

See, with Engineer I NEVER have anti-tank stuff... Because I like shooting stuff out of the sky too much. I guess I could switch it up based on maps... But every map has helicopters.

Yea I generally stay with anti tank, unless there is a chopper just doing mad work on the map, which seems to be fairly rare. Most i come across either plummet from the sky the minute they get into the air, or they are used as quick transports. I don't see very many skilled pilots.
