Titans Titans General Discussion Thread - Part 1

Yep, everyone gets taken over by Trigon, it becomes a massive team up with E-Titans Doom Patrol showing up to help defeat him then it ends with them all in their "final forms"

Wow talk about a waste of potential. That would have been a really awesome scene to see, but for some reason these showrunners believe that we don't deserve nice things like actually seeing these characters team up or in their more comic accurate costumes which is honestly why I don't have a whole lot of hope left for Season 3 unless they get rid of that original team or whoever the hell is in charge of this show.

Yeah it’s weird to learn that the thing many of us have been asking for all this time was actually already filmed and then trashed. That makes it all considerably worse.

I think one day we will probably see the original S1 finale but there has be a high demand for it like it was with the Snyder Cut.

It just feels like the writers and producers are afraid to embrace the superhero side of the Titans as they're rarely wore their superhero costumes during S2. It seems like the purpose of this show is to deconstruct superheroes like we've seen in Watchmen.

Yeah, hopefully. It seems like studios have finally clocked that at least fans care about seeing that kind of thing.

And if they continue focusing only on deconstructing then this show will never reach its full potential.

Well you'd think that after seeing on how "well" people responded to shows like "Iron Fist" and "Inhumans", that these producers would know on how people would respond whenever you try to remove the iconography of the costumes and not embrace the comic book aspect of your show's mythology.

Agents of SHIELD: 8 seasons
Smallville: 10 seasons
Gotham: 5 seasons

Those shows crapped all over the respective mythologies of their source material and people still watched them.

HBO Max is going to be one of the big DC hubs besides CW.

No offense to fans of this show, but I just watched the Season 2 finale and was not impressed. The production values for this show look awful. It looks like they had no budget for this series.

Acting is like a YouTube fan series. Looks like they had a lower budget than the CW shows.

Also why is everything so dark? I mean it everything is cloaked in darkness and hard to see. It's like the Battle of Winterfell. Now sure, some darkness can work, but everything is so dark and hard to see.

Deahstroke/Ravager/Nightwing fight was really badly edited and choreographed. I've seen better choreographed and edited superhero fights on Bat in the Sun.

All the heroes seem badly underpowered based on their actual abilities. Acting is nothing to write home about either. Honestly it reminds me of Inhumans. It just seems like everyone is standing around and being very passive and doing very little.

Deathstroke was a pushover and remarkably easy to kill. He's offed in like five minutes. Why didn't they just do this years ago? Clearly none of these guys have a problem with just maiming people, especially dark brutal rage RED HOOD Dick Grayson Robin.

Basically, it feels like most of the show was on such a shoestring budget, and they couldn't showcase the actual Titans, so they made up for it with gratuitous darkness, violence, and cursing. Sorry but that's not Titans. The Titans are not EDGE LORDS.

First of all AoS was 7 seasons. Second, it respected the source material. They were under heavier limitations re: source material than they initially expected to be.

Just noticed HBO Max is no longer working on Linux web browsers.

It had been working perfectly since launch, but now it doesn't and customer service alleges that it never did.

So no Roku, no Amazon Fire, and now no Linux support. Every other streaming service works fine on Linux. DC Universe, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon video, Tubi, DAZN, ESPN+, NJPW World, ROH Honor Club, Fite TV, Youtube, Disney+, Crackle, Crunchyroll... just not HBO Max.

So now I'm installing several months worth of updates on my Xbox One because it's the last stupid device hooked to my TV that works with the service. I hadn't played it since Doom Eternal launched.

Buncha geniuses, I tell ya.

Weird how they just gave away that
Red Hood
spoiler for the upcoming season without warning. (And in such an underwhelming way) I would be pissed off if I cared more about this show :oldrazz:

Having him transition so quickly for no major reason doesnt seem like a great story. He should be gone for a couple of years before popping up so it's atleast a real surprise and has some weight to it.

That's Greg Walker for you. He's the Scott Buck of DC TV.

I think Jason should be an adult when he becomes the Red Hood. Maybe Curran Walters could pull it off (he needs to bulk up some muscles) but I don't trust the writing as they tend to rush things on the show. Red X actually might've been a better choice at this age tbh and then later he could possibly become the Red Hood.
