This was the MCG's costume

Would be a bit silly. Eh. I just think it is more likely Brainiac or Darkseid would willingly work with them. If this is even a known character. Hopefully it doesn't just end up being a huge random Kryptonian to fight.
Whatever it is, its 7 or 8 feet tall. I've heard mentioned it could be a robot or maybe some kinda armour that Zod is wearing.

About those trunks. Personally, I'm glad they're gone. I think the costume looks so freaken badass!... Anyway. If the movie kicks ass, and is of pure high quality (as we expect and hope), then it won't matter one_little_bit! Trunks or not.

If it is just Zod with armor that would be the lamest thing ever. I'm hoping one of the big 3 for fan favs "Metallo, Brainiac, Darkseid"

The costume is going to look different with lighting/filters and until we see it in a cinematic state, have no idea just how good it may look. A blurry far away day time spy pic was good to confirm no trunks (if you were blind) but bad to show how it will look on film.

It looks like crap. It needs something to brake up all that blue. That's what the shorts was for in in the first place.

That is NOT Superman and I won't be spending my money on it.

I dont see them using Brainiac or Darkseid in this..they deserve their on films.
Metallo?? maybe, but I would think Lex would have been mentioned if metallo were to be in it.

There are a few major things these pictures pointed out.

1) The wrist cuffs are highly reflective
2) The belt is gold, but thin
3) Two thin seams run up the body from the belt, diagonally.
4) There is a thick, silver seam that runs halfway down the outside of the thigh.

Overall, I like it. The lack of trunks doesn't actually bug me, just the random uses of silver.

I made that point already the first time I mentioned them.

Loving the pics of the damage and whatnot. If this much destruction happens in smallville, then I hope its X 10 in Metropolis.

I don't know if anyone is spoken about the possibility of Doomsday yet, but I posted on the 'Hype update with the pictures.

From the size, the fact that Zod et al were in the Phantom Zone, and from the colours on the dude's duds being all Doomsday colours, I can't get Doomsday out of my mind. Doomsday is meant to be in the Phantom Zone, too.....right (?)

I have no idea about what happens with CGI and colour rendering, but could the colours be used as 'markers' for the CGI artists? That is, to pick up tone and shading from the light sources used in filming.

Just a thought......:supes:

Be careful, we don't want to jinx it.:cwink:

Well, it would definitely be a help to those zooming in on HC's crotch in the other thread. This design has an arrow pointing right to it. :oldrazz:

Love LOVE the new suit,:up: even without the fruit of the loom undies lol.:D I love the streamlined look of it, I wouldn't mind a little red on the belt but it looks great!!!:awesome::up: Finally Supes gets a long cape and doesn't look like he's wearing a towel that's just above his butt crack, that's my job lol!!!:o:oldrazz::D:super:

It does look awesome. I love the flowing cape. Its going to look amazing in flight. From a distance it looks like an action figure. Lol jokes aside his hair has changed. Perhaps we are being monitored for our opinions. I'm loving everything about this flick so far.

Well Another Superman movie ruin by Hollywood.:csad:

That is NOT Superman and I won't be spending my money on it.

This is quite sad and pathetic for a number of reasons, chief among them being you haven't even seen a good clear shot of the thing yet. Get a grip.

I can understand being disappointed at the differences from the classic look, but to say it isn't Superman? That's the worst sort of fanboy hyperbole and one of the reasons comic book fans have the laughable reputation that we do.

I have no idea if they're right, but according to latino review, thats michael shannon with the mo-cap gear on.

''Second observation: Is General Zod going Green Lantern style and getting a motion-captured costume? Because that’s Michael Shannon wearing the mo-cap greys, and he’s the new Zod''
http://www.latinoreview.com/news/man-of-steel-photos-reveal-full-costume-debut-faora-14577
I guess I'm not entirely convinced yet that it's Shannon in that mo-cap suit with the giant height extender. Why would Zod be 8+ feet and some inches tall, but Faora wouldn't?

I do have to point out, though, that whoever it is in the mo-cap suit... has got some serious back. Like, damn.

Or perhaps he is hovering a few feet above Superman and some shots will be done cgi without wire work, so they need the marker for the height they want him at.

That's an interesting hypothesis. Certainly possible. Ile hope its for cybersuit. As I would prefer wirework. Which would be cheaper than cgi.
