How much geek is too much?

Meaning, is there a level of geekdom that you just can't see yourself going to?

I wouldn't wait in line for days for a movie. Or a Con for that matter. I don't do stalking either.

Yep....I've waited in line for a couple of hours for things....but if you need to pitch a tent, that's too much for me.

Full costume for a movie = no.
Talking/arguing over said movie, for an hour or so = yes.

Wearing a Spider-Man t-shirt, with a Batman cap, and a visible tattoo of Capy shield on one's arm = no.
Wearing the apparel or having the visible tattoo, by itself = yes.

Still carrying around one's Wolverine binder, in college, because he or she thinks it's AWESOME = no.
Keeping said binder in one's room for nostalgia and geek reasons = yes.

The list could go on.

I will not wait over night for a movie opening or comic con. I do not play fantasy role playing games like Dungeons and Dragons or World of Warcraft. I don't wear any superhero related clothing. I do have a Spider-Man 2 poster in my bedroom. That's probably the most geeky I can get.

I won't stand in line for days for a movie or anything. I've waited a few hours in lines for Batman '89, Star Wars Episode III and Bruce Campbell.

I won't dress up as anyone for a comic convention because quite frankly I don't have the body to be a superhero. Maybe the Kingpin, but no purple pants.

I'm starting to question having my statues and framed pictures up in my place now too.

My friend wants me to dress up for comic-con so that a group of us could go together and ride on the train in full costumes, but my idea for a costume is going to be just wearing jeans and a Superboy shirt and go as "Conner Kent". That's as far as I'd go in terms of dressing up. Tights are a definite no-no for me. But for some ladies, its very welcomed. :D

I've never stood in line for hours or slept on a sidewalk to get movie tickets, nor have I ever been to one of the major Comic Conventions. However for most of the superhero films, I've often worn an appropriate t-shirt.

I don't put money into my computer to do gaming.

I don't do MMO as I can only play video game in a couple of hours at a time.

I don't wait overnight to watch a movie. (I have been able to watch every Star Wars movie the day it was released.)

I don't dress up outside of the bedroom.

I brought a towel to the movie theatre on the opening day of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. That's about as far as I've gone.

--EDIT--

That's if you don't count all the comic books & anime I own.

I wouldn't go to Comic Con.

Standing around, waiting in lines most of the day doesn't sound trilling.

I don't dress up in costume for anything, I don't care about seeing comic book movies on opening night, I don't collect toys or buy superhero memorabilia, I don't play computer games unless its with people (friends & family never alone), I don't follow every film or tv show an actor does because they were in a nerd favourite movie

I don't judge others for doing those things its just not for me.

I will wear a superhero t-shirt, I do collect comics, I do discuss comic and film stuff and I do own/see superhero films thats it really. oh and I occasionally watch anime but stuff like Akira, Gundam Wing.

I dont dress up as my favorite character.
I dont go to cons or festivals.
I dont wait at midnight to see my favorite movie.
I dont follow the actors/actress lives that portrays my favorite characters.

Waiting in line for an unreasonable lengthe of time for a movie, no. Camping out for ANYTHING, no.
Tattoos-undecided.
Going to a movie premiere in costume, no.
Stalking, HELL no.
I don't do online gaming or RPG's.
I don't see myself insisting on anything like a Star Wars-themed wedding, nor would I name any of my kids after a Marvel character. (Though I have done this with pets.)

I have done some midnight premieres...

All 3 Lord of The Rings
Spider-Man 2
The Dark Knight

I don't do them much nowadays. They're quite tiring.

I went to the midnight premiere for Spider-Man 3, but only because it was iMax and because my brother was paying my way. I think it was more fanboy-ish of me to go later on that day to see it again with my friends at a regular theater. I practically got no sleep that day.

Fascinating, never would have thought I'd be considered "too nerdy" according to some of these lists :o

I think waiting long hours in line to see the movie first is actually what's be considered as "too nerdy", and not just seeing the movie itself at midnight.

Don't read comics
Don't play video games
Don't wear superhero shirts
 What the hell am i doing here?? Oh yeah, escape reality for a bit...

I can't do dressing up as a character or cosplay, it's looks great when certain people do it but not for someone of my size.

I don't see what wrong with collecting: collect DVDs/blu-rays, trades, Heroclix, t-shirts and whatever I find cool to have.

Also, I think is mostly for sports, but I would never kill anyone because they didn't like a character I did.

Waiting hours in line to see a movie I don't think is so nerdy. People spend hours in line for other things too, like buying tickets to concerts or sports events, etc. So waiting hours to see a movie doesn't seem nerdy at all.

It's only nerdy if you have to call your parents after the movie to pick you up.

I remember hearing about a guy who was planning to get his ears surgically altered to look like a Vulcan's; I think compared to that, anything we on these boards do is rather tame.
