I honestly think this show would have been better if Toshiko Sato was the main female character, from the final episodes it's clear Naoko Mori is much a much better actress than Eve Myles and probably the best actress/actor on the show. I never really found Eve Myles character (Gwen) all that likable and when you see her face close up, she's actually pretty ugly. I found Naoko's character alot more likable as person, one of the few as a matter of fact.

Was I the only one which loved Tosh & Owen the most out of all the cast by the end of the 1st season.

Well, you're certainly not the only one who loved Tosh.

Tosh was my favorite character. I like Ianto too, even though he's kind of an idiot.

I actually say he's the most complex character. Though I'll admit I did like Tosh.

i really enjoyed the last two eps. tosh and owen finally had a good story and both got killed. your right about owen becoming a dick. he was a doctor who helped people get better but could not do anything for the one he loved.

Why kill off a character that was only just given another lease on life - Owen?

Tosh I get, she never got her kit off and so had no purpose.

Haha, harsh but probably true. As for Owen, who knows? I didn't really get what happened at the power plant in the first place. Did the thing melt down? Because if he was just bathed in radiation, wouldn't he be fine since he's not alive anyway?

I just assumed it was a super large explosion of nuclear stuff all contained in the plant.

lol as if they could contain nuclear fall out by closing the doors.

I guess it might not have been explosive, but there may have been a lot of heat that just vaporized his body. Still, that seems like it would breach the nuclear facility regardless. I don't know, I didn't get it.

Me neither, I think it was a bit of a botch job for the story. Of course Owen seemed to be fine when recovering from the bomb one eipsode before.

So lucky point blank bombs and they walk away only to get killed later....

I did like the flash back showing us the teams origins. Made me forgive Owens actions and care even less about Tosh, Ianto. Gwen "fish eyes" was not bad.

I wanted more of a fight between the brothers.
