I'm glad to see him using the accent again. It felt really awkward hearing an American accent come out of his mouth on Smallville...

Some people I will remember as having one role only. James is one of those people. Spike is the character I will remember him for. He does English so well.

He and Alexis Denisof both. Joss Whedon apparently had a good eye for finding actors who can fake really excellent accents.

Indeed he or his casting agent does a great job.

..oh a bit of a side note. I got Buffy comic for xmas....The Long Way Home (season 8) tis cool.

Looks like James Marsters's character has some connection to Jack. Interesting.

I think he's another rogue Time Agent or whatever Jack's title was. I don't even remember it now. He's just Captain Jack.

I'm waiting for the revelation that Jack and Marsters' character had sex at least once, myself. I want to think there's someone in the universe Jack hasn't boned or wanted to bone, but I don't think RTD would let that happen.

Captain John is supposed to be someone Captain Jack knew as a time agent and Jack being the horny little ****er he is it just wouldn't seem right if the characters hadn't had sex and to the RTD comment he hasn't ****ed a weevil ... yet

I just hope I don't have to see it on screen. Just mention it and move on.

Its RTD. His gonna atleast have them makeout on screen. I think Masters has already mentioned he kissed Barrowman. I saw an interview where he was saying how randy brits are and liberal on tv with the whole sex thing.

That's because Brits have no standards and would sell their own mum just to make a few pounds so they could buy cheap child slaves.

Oddly enough, I think it's simply a question of priorities. For example, sexual content and language tend to be treated leniently but portrayal of violence (specifically when relating to guns) is controlled more tightly than in the U.S.

I agree. Each country has it's own experiences that dictate the laws they put in place.

Is that sort of thing really universal in British television, though? I thought it was just Torchwood, what with RTD having some weird fascination with making Jack a guy who'll screw literally anything with a pulse.

Well I am trying to think of things that have been on UK TV that have been risky....but none spring to mind. Maybe to me it's not really risky anymore.

Profanity
Friday Night With Jonathon Ross
The Graham Norton Show
Shameless
Little Britain
The Catherine Tate Show
Tittybangbang
Skins
ect

Violence
Torn
Kidulthood
Fallen Angel
ect

You Get The Idea

Skins was pretty Graphic. You had full frontal nudity, Swearing and Drug taking. Plus the cast are actully teenagers or just out of their teens not like Gossip Girls, Dawsons Creek, The OC where you have 25 year olds playing 15 year olds.

Americans Love Chat Shows like Graham Norton and Jonathon Ross because they can say stuff they can't on Letterman, Leno, Kimmel and Conan.

Everytime Dustin Hoffmans on Graham Norton he tells a dirty joke, its good fun.

Violence is more censored than anything. THey are far more likey to ban something with graphic violence like the Saw or Hostel films then something with Graphic sex or profanity.
