Jeremy Kyle - Can't stand it, the bloke is a ****
Trisha - It's on Five so no, just no.
Skins - a seriously under appreciated piece of drama showing teen life and various difficulties anyone can face from mental health issues to grief and in one case a life threatening hereditary disease.
Sugar Rush - Three words "Lesbian Sex Scenes"

What else you got?

The ginger sugar rush girl was in Torchwood.

sorry DB but think of it as karma for all the crap we in the uk get spoiled by you guys all the time:oldrazz:
Haha! You're right. Karma is great! Karma Chameleon is ever better.
Okay... maybe not...

I saw the finale yesterday myself. Actually pretty good, although it felt a bit rushed. I wish we could've gotten more on Gray's motivation, too. Flashbacks, at least. As it stands, it seems like he's just whining at Jack. I never really felt the gravity of his situation.
It looks like we (in the US) are only one episode behind because BBC America will be showing the finale next week. Don't like last week's (Adrift) episode too much.

Certainly a standout episode of "Torchwood". Didn't expect the death(s). As mentioned previously, I'd like to a few scenes next season where Jack goes mental after being buried alive for 2000 years.
I would like to see that too. And maybe see him shag everyone on the team. Maybe not... to the latter.

I'd watch that like a person looking at a train wreck....you know you shouldn't but you do anyway. seriously, she isn't attractive and the actor that plays her husband/bf Rhys(sp?) isnt much better.....during the wedding episode I had a bad mental image of Gwen and her hubby having ugly chubby sex....I am now dead on the inside...
I agree with you that Gwen is like the 'everywoman'. She's not attractive to me either but then again, I am sick and tired of seeing every lead actors/actress looking like they just popped out of a magazine, looking like supermodels. I can appreciate both Gwen and Rhys because they look like ordinary folks.

Yea, well thats' what he gets for growing up in Middle America...they don't cotton to men in kilts....seriously thats crappy, He has a strong following in the theatre community here in the states and its growing due to doctor who and Torchwood...at the Torchwood panel at SDCC last year, he was extremely well received...
Who else was on the Who SDCC panel??

Is Torchwood your favourite or one of your favourite shows?

For me personally its my second favourite show right behind Firefly, I try to like more unique & different shows. Firefly, Torchwood, Chuck (geek heaven), & Odyssey5 are my favourite.

Its not really one of my favourites

Chuck is only just starting here in the UK this week but it looks good. Never seen Odessey5.

I live in the UK too & can't wait to see Chuck again on Virgin1, Odyssey 5 starring Peter Weller was a cancelled TV show after just one season, it was a more adult sci-fi program in many ways resembling Torchwood's style but isn't about a team cracking down on Aliens.

Peter Weller is the Robocop dude right?

I got tired of Chuck real quick. Adam Baldwin was really the only thing worth watching in it after a while for me. Of course, I was an enormous fan of Journeyman last season, and that wound up getting canned. I guess my opinions aren't in line with the mainstream.

Hell yeah, he brings so much character to his role in Odyssey 5, truly a great actor.

Found it had a great Pilot, then a few slightly weak episodes but became really good mid-season especially towards the end, its so well AWESOME. Morgan & Casey (Adam Baldwin) really make it what it is, I can't help but love it since it has tons of geek references & techy stuff hence baffling my mum.

Chuck? Eh, it just seemed to be built on so many clichés, plus the jokes just weren't all that funny to me. I gave up about halfway through the season.

It wasn't trying to have particurly unique storylines I don't think, after all it is basically a spy spoof, but you missed out since the last few episodes were a cut above the rest & things got quite interesting after a suppising twist around episode 8.

Meh. Maybe I'll try it out again later on. I've gotten into shows in later seasons after thinking their first sucked before.

Torchwood is crap. Odyssey 5 was stopped becase it conicided with the Columbia disaster. It is simply that simple. It actually had decent ratings and showed a lot of potential.

Not disputing you but its never really been explained properly why it was cancelled but I have more than once read that it was cancelled due to Showtime citing a desire to move away from sci-fi fare such as Odyssey 5 and Jeremiah. I still hope that one day they will finish off the story, the creator has expressed an interest in finishing it off.

Huh. I never heard of Odyssey 5. Sounds interesting.

I'd highly recommend it if you don't mind a bit of swearing & sex every now & then but then again your in the Torchwood thread so I'm sure it will be fine. :D

If you wanna know the basic plot here it is:
The astronaut crew of a space shuttle looks on in horror as they witness the violent destruction of the Earth. However, they are given a chance to change humanity's fate when a sympathetic alien sends them five years into the past. Their mission--find out who's responsible for the plot to destroy the planet. Can they deal with their own pasts while saving the world from the mysterious organism known only as "Leviathan?"

Huh. I never heard of Odyssey 5. Sounds interesting.

The show centerd around the crew of the space shuttle Odyssey. They gained future knowledge from an alien called the seeker after a shuttle disaster, they have 5 years to save the world. The series coincided with Columbia... The rest is history. :( Like B5 the 5 was a nod to the 5 year (haha:() theorised story arc.

Sounds great. Sucks that it was canceled, especially if it's because of some network directive. I really hate seeing premium channels ditch great shows for stupid reasons. Happened to me with HBO and Carnivale. :(

It certainly showed potential and yes, I liked Carnivale also.
