Torchwood

I feel weird for liking the Lauren Cooper sketch, because one of them made me geek out so badly. It was the one where she got in a fight with a teacher who was testing her on the periodic table of elements. He asked her what "M i" was, her reply was "M. I. bovvered?" and my immediate reaction was "that was probably justified. I don't think there's an M i."
Havent seen that one. But I love it when Tate does Lauren Cooper. Have you seen the one where Tennent was her english teacher?

And why does everyone seem to hate Gwen??

Ok, just finished watching prt1 of Children of the Earth. Am I the only one freaked out when that kid said,'' We are coming... Back.'' That gave me goosebumps.

And in the preview for prt 2, I'm guessing the burnt guy is Jack?

I'm not a fan of Gwen because she's whiny and kept claiming she loved Rhys in spite of cheating on him repeatedly. She was better in Children of Earth, though. I almost liked her.

I'll admit, I've only seen a few random episodes of Torchwood so Im not too familiar with her. But Im watching it from the beginning now.

I don't like her constant cheating on Rhys, but her personality switch-up in series 2 is also ridiculous. I remember Gwen in series 1. She was a police constable who broke up pub fights, secured crime scenes, and got coffee for the detective inspectors who actually investigated serious crimes. Upon joining Torchwood, she (ironically) tried to serve as the moral core by reminding the team that the victims were people with real lives and feelings.

Then Jack disappears for what could literally be no more than a week, and Gwen is left in charge. Why? Everyone had seniority over her, including that damn dinosaur in their bellfry. She didn't even have that much experience. She wasn't even that assertive in series 1. She just took charge for no reason.

Woohoo! The Torchwood thread's been taken over by Americans!

I just watched Day One last night, too. Nice red herring with that Rupesh guy. Also, I'm getting a little tired of Jack constantly dieing.
Jack dies 6 times during Children of Earth
I think it was the Home Office, and they were civil servants.
Yes it was the Home Office...

I know in the first series gwen was shagging Owen for a bit, but after that ended she's been faithful as far as I remember

Going through all she went through on the team really ****ed Gwen up a bit. And it's not surprising. Look what happened to Susie because she essentially had no one to talk to about what was going on. It ate away at her. And the same thing happened to Gwen. Except that she found someone to talk to (among other things) in Owen. But when Reese found out about Torchwood, and Gwen could start telling him everything, she seemed to start acting better.

So Children of the Earth Day Two...

I'm liking it. That secretary lady(forgot her name), I see big things coming in the future for her..

Hmm, I don't know, I could see her becoming a little more firm with her surroundings. She is new after all, I'm sure its all quite a bit for her to take in.

After watching it, I'm sort of glad that Agatha couldn't reprise her role as Martha and join Torchwood. Lois' characters fits perfectly with how they told the story.

Agatha?? isn't her name Frema or something...I know she's on the Uk Law and Order now along with Jamie Bamber

Also, I think Peter Capaldi did a brilliant job as Frobisher.

during the first and most of the second series, I had a tough time taking Ianto seriously....this mini series has certainly changed that perception for me

I find Ianto to be, ''ugh'' sometimes. But most of the time, I like him.

He's been alright ever since he stopped whining about his Cyber-girlfriend.

You know, Gwen, Owen, and Ianto are overall decent characters when you ignore the whole of series 1. It's just so hard to forget the cheating, date raping, and harboring of half-finished Cybermen.

Date raping? Oh jeez.

ANd yeah, Cyberwoman was one of the only eps Ive seen of Season 1. And jeez did he annoy me.

there is something to be said for the unseeable thing and the suspense that can bring...I am scared of the cloud in a box

Date raping? Oh jeez.
Remember in the very first episode when Owen went out to a bar and used that bottle of alien pheromone cologne to get a disinterested woman to sleep with him, then used it on her boyfriend as well?

He drugged them for the purpose of making them have sex with him when they wouldn't have done so otherwise. Date rape.

Ah right, I do remember that.

Owen likes shagging a little too much lol.
