Man, Sony not trying to get GTA IV exclusive, and getting some new unknown (probably nowhere near as successful) Rockstar franchise instead, was a huge mistake in terms of Exclusives. I mean, MGS and Final Fantasy are big and all, but they are franchises that the mainstream doesn't really care about, GTA is huge and really would have helped them.

Ps. Final Fantasy is dumb. MGS rocks though.

Dead Rising 2 isnt an 360 exclusive. Its being developed for teh PS3 as well

Since when? There was a rumor that it wouldn't be exclusive, but nothing confirmed. It's not even in development yet as far as anyone knows.

I heard it is, but not by Capcom.
It´s a western developer, produced by Capcom, much in the likes of Bionic Commando
Never heard of it being on the PS3....

fair enough but looking at Capcom's recent stance on games, I dont doubt that it will end up on both platforms. Capcom doesnt really do exclusives anymore for teh most part

We'll just see. Rumors are rumors. I'm sure it will be announced soon enough either way.

I did a quick search and found that site before you mentioned it.
It says that DR2 will not be exclusive.

On the other hand, this one (http://www.fragland.net/news/Dead-Rising-2-Xbox-360-exclusive/15328/), say that it will be exclusive and that MS paid good money to keep the series exclusive.

All in all, we will have to wait and see.
I also read that Lost Planet 2 would be PS3 exclusive, and that the 360 would get Black Cloud exclusive.
Now, first is, what in hell is Black Cloud, besides being from Capcom.
Second, we already know that, until word on the contrary, Lost Planet 2 will be 360 exclusive (at least, it was announced as being in developement for the 360 and PC only).

No you couldn't because you missed the point completely Spidey. If you're not into any of the classic Nintendo characters, then what are you left with on the Wii? The worst versions of multi platform games? Sometimes missing out completely on other great games altogether that are released on the 360/PS3? I have 7 games for the 360. Only one of them is a FPS. *GASP*

The idea that the 360 is only for FPS is very narrow.
There are many games out there that aren´t FPS, that idea started because of Halo (one of the biggest sellers ever) and the Xbox started the all FPS console game (until then, FPS in consoles were far and between).
Of all games up there, 11 big names are not FPS at all.

If you're into good games you'll like Super Mario Galaxy. If you're a narrow-minded moron who thinks a game requires blood, guns, and/or swearing to be good, you won't like it.

That statement couldnt be any further from the truth. Mario isnt for everyone the same way a game like Oblivion isnt for everyone.

I'm a Nintendo fan. I had a PS2 last gen and 360 currently. I loved the PS2 exclusives (Jak, Ratchet & Clank, Kingdom Hearts) more than the 360 exclusives. Basically, I'm pretty unbiased when it comes to the 360 and PS3.

I'd get a 360. More games now, better exclusives. Sony is dying from the PS3 and it's possible once-exclusive franchises for PS2/3 may find their ways on other systems.

Not saying I entirely disagree but Sony is not dying from the PS3. In fact PS3 is profitable, and there's a thread on the Hype about how Sony outdid the 360 last month in North America, the only spot left the 360 was winning on a monthly basis over the Wii and 360.

As for GL1 saying buying a PS3 is not rational, and has 0 good games... . The PS3 has good exclusives coming, and games like Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, and Heavenly Sword are good titles. I understand the Hype has always been heavily 360 biased, but telling him PS3 is an irrational buy doesn't help the thread starte

However still, the big 360 exclusives this year still don't stack up to the Wii or PS3 lineup, which is an opinion I'm entitled to. But, like was said, The big shows haven't started yet and new announcements have yet to be made. All the big hitters Microsoft has announced are out and waiting for more to join the fray. The PS3 has been running on the fact that MGS will eventually be out since day 1.

I'm not saying the PS3 is bad, but really it's exclusives aren't that great, save 2 or 3. MGS and Little Big Planet, to me, are the only interesting games coming out exclusively to the PS3. Even LBP is still up in the air as to how it actually is.

Uncharted is the only game out now that looks fun.

I'm in no way psyched to the max about the 360's exclusives either, half of them I won't get. But it has a lot more interesting, innovative, and well received ones than the PS3.

Plus Dead Rising is the **** and am very happy that a sequel is coming. I don't care if it goes multiplat, but I know that if it doesn't I'll be safe.

Lol it was sad. When I first got a PS1 the graphical upgrade from my snes and genesis was unbelievable. Crash Bandicoot and mainly Twisted Metal pwned. So, when getting a PS2 I thought the graphics were going to be damn near life like. I saw cut scenes for The Bouncer and thought it was in game graphics and was hyped to get it. Then I got it, and let's just call it a disapointing buy.

The only other game that tops that disapointment that I can think of ATM is the first F4 PS2 game. It's not that I thought it'd be great, but the loading times were so bad they put in a mini racing game to play while you waited and it was more fun than the F4 game itself.

BTW they need to put out a new Twisted Metal. Black was great, but the things they could do with it this gen.

There's a new one being made for the PS2, why I don't know.

Again, that is a rumor too.

But yes, I hope they don't mess it up... Or I hope they improve it immensly t: There were plenty of things wrong with DR.
