Train fight

this is by far the best fight scene, i love the part when spidey dodges dock ocks tentacles and when he lands he ducks real quick under the bridge, so awesome

That part is sweet; that & when he's catching up to the train & Ock starts desperately tossing hostages to slow him down.

best super hero fight ever and one of the best action sequences commited to film. as good as TDK was for me there wasn't one action sequence that topped it.

I loved the music during the fight.

Ehhhhhh.

I think it's good but I still think it isn't AS good as everyone says it is. It's good, yes...up until Spidey's stopping of the train. I'm sorry, but Tobey's face is laughable in that scene.

Just mentioning Tobey's face made me chuckle

But yeah, I do agree that it is an amazing scene, one of the best I have ever seen in a film. Personally, I think I've seen better in other films *cough* Blade *cough* :D

IMO its not the definite BEST super-hero fight scene, that goes to Blade vs Nomak from Blade II (a few fight from Hellboy II have sneaked up there as well) but its definately one of THE best, Hulk vs Abom cant touch it IMO. Its just so kinetic, energetic and tense, and then to top it off with Spidey catching the train, just awesome, I actually think BOTH of the main fights with Doc Ock in Spidey 2 are up there for best super-hero fight scene ever.

The train sequence was the best 7-8 minutes of superhero movie footage ever made in my estimation. Pure drama and suspense at its finest. Talk about an adrenaline rush. 10/10 Still love Spidey 2, what a great flick.

I agree. The train fight was just anthological.

the best action sequence in the trilogy. hell, probably the best action sequence in comic book movies.

The Train fight is the best action sequence, but hopefully Iron Man 2 will be able to do something about that lol

Idk-Spidey can't fly, has no protection and was being pushed to his physical limits. These are all part of what made it a great scene.

this scene probably cost more to make than the climax of the film! i agree it is REALLY good and a lot of fun to watch.

It's one of my favorite action sequences of all time. They also made good use of a train in SM3 . I could see another train sequence coming into play with Lizard running through the Subway .

I loved the sequence, but I really enjoyed the fights in Spider-Man 3 way more.

the trian fight is THE best for the following reasons (this isonly my opinion and only what 'I' want from an action seqeunce).

a) the length of the sequence
from the cock tower to the edge of the edge of the train tracks the fight is continuous and is frigging INTENSE.

b) the importance of the fight
they built up the character of doc ock they also built up peter's need to put on the costume and save mj

c) they let superhumans BE superhumans
spider-man and doc ock used the full range of their powers to their limits

d) the fight looked realistic
speaks for itself, even though there was cg at no point was I pulled out of the action because it looked fake

e) he is actually FIGHTING someone
rather than group or a 'thing'

here are some fantastic sequences and why I don't think they don''t top the train fight as THE action sequence

batman begins
fantastic car chase which was intense and action packed but it is just a car chase

TDK
hong kong kidnapp - too short
harvey dent armoured envoy/bike sequence - intense sequence and action packed but batman does actually fight anybody

Iron man
eastern europe rescue - too short
air fight - too short
final fight - rubbish, far too cg as pulled right out of the movie

the incredible hulk
final fight - WAYYYYYY too cg, I thought I was watching tekken

hellboy 2
final fight - terrific, but not as good as the train sequence

xmen 2
nightcrawler attacks the the president - terrific too short
wolverine v lady deathstrike - terrific but not as good as the train fight

superman returns
pane rescue - terrific but he isn't actually fighting anyone,

these are MY favorite action sequences (apart from TIH but I thought I'd list it) and have watched them a few times. I still think the train sequence takes it.

Train fight was the best fight sequence out of all three Spidey movies. Bar none.

^^ More like the best fight sequeance in any comic book film. Well, IMO, of course. :word:

You can't really help making Hulk's end fight CGI. They used real enviorments and two CGI monsters. They couldn't go get the real Hulk and Abomination to film.

As for Batman, Batman Begins had crappy action sequences aside from the Batmobile chase which I really loved. Dark Knight's were better but I just think Batman looks goofy while fighting.

It's definitely one of the best things in the whole franchise imo. However, I think the final fight against Green Goblin in Spider-Man 1 is up there too! It's not as good looking, but it definitely has a heavier feel to it. It's brutal and it really shows the desperate battle-for-your-lives feeling. I can't explain it better, but it just has more impact! It's more epic than the train fight in my opinion.

I didn't like the final fight with Green Goblin, because Spidey was basically bounced around like a rag doll for most of it. It took MJ being verbally threatened to make Peter grow a pair and actually really fight back.

The train fight had Ock and Spidey on equal footing, both getting to show their battle prowess all the way through.

That's because Green Goblin would make Doc Ock his *****.

He had super strength and enhanced speed, Ock just had arms.

I do think it's funny that in all the fights Ock and Spidey had, Ock never had a bruise or a broken nose etc. :p

Ridiculous. Ock can take on multiple super powered opponents without breaking a sweat:

Ock even whupped the Hulk once.

Ock's tentacles can match the strength and speed of Goblin, Spidey, and many other super powered foes. It's one of the many reasons why he's on Spidey's A-list.

Fact is that Spidey's powers were very poorly shown in that final fight with Goblin. It had to be the mere mention of MJ to make him really fight back. Sigh, all about the girl....

Because Spidey pulls his punches.

the green goblin fight is terrific but the train fight takes it because it shows the full range of spidey's powers.

he is clinging to the side of the train, it truly is the first time spidey actually LOOKS like he can stick to objects rather than being on a horizontal floor which is flipped 90 degrees in post production.

he shows he is freaking strong by stopping the train even though it pushes him to the max

his agility is amazing, two amazing clips was him webbing doc ock and somersaulting backwards to pull him off the clock tower and the bit where he dodges docs arms and then leans backswards to avoid the low bridge all in one move. YES!!

they actually show his spider sense in a good way when he is facing doc ock and his spider sense goes off and he clings to the side of the train to avoid the train on the other track.

when I was watching the sequence I ws breathless by the end of it and said at the time 'no way are they going to top that' unfortunately I was right not only in the climax of SM2 but also for the entire SM3.
