Transformers RPG Season I Sign up/OOC Thread

An SR-71 would be cool, but then I have no say in this at all. But a Blackbird is still ranked the fastest jet we have wouldn't give him the muscle of a B-2 but makes up for it with sheer speed, and there was something the other day on the military channel talking about how they are upgrading the SR-71's to a new configuration with possible stealth, yes even at those speeds, as well as an inner atmosphere slip stream drive to avoid the whole sonic boom factor and actually hit higher speeds with less g-pull. Still don't know anything certain and there's a chance I guess that the show wasn't being truly truthful, depends how big of a conspiracy theorist you are.

That reminds me of X-Men Evolutions, where Cyclops says, "Twice the speed, and twice the fire power." And all I could think of is, "What?" Because face it, stapping a .45 to the bird would be literally an INFINITE amount times the firepower.


However, the SR-71 itself is a fairly useless plane past it's designation of SR, as we can't DO much with it that we can't already do with other planes cheaper and easier.

Well it was the fastest recon plane and it had to fly high enough it was perfectly safe from anything that would be shot at it, at the time. But with satellites and the Predators now we don't even use any other of so called "spy' plane. Really lets face it thee only reason they really made it to begin with was to show that we could. LOL kinda like a military anything you can do I can do better but based solely on speed instead of anything else.

Any important previous Cybertron details or stories for your character?: Optimus Prime isn't just travelling to Earth on a hunch. Thousands of years ago, on the brink of the great tragedy of civil war, he sent the Autobot Matrix of Leadership and Knowledge into space to both protect it from the growing Decipticon threat, and to search out the best source of Energon in the universe. After several millenia of fighting and waiting, a signal has gotten back to Optimus. The Matrix has found the Energon.

On Earth, the Matrix crashed landed in a remote, rugged part of the Alaskan frontier. It lay dormant until the late 1860's when the United States purchased Alaska from the Russians and began extensive exploration. Chief among the adventuers chosen to explore the territory was Captain Archibald Witwicky. On one of his last missions in the area, he came across the strange handled orb, knowing instantly he had made a huge discovery. Upon his return home, the government siezed the object, but claimed it to be just a hunk of scrap from an old ship. Witwicky was paid double, for his services
and to keep quite, and sent home to live out his days.

In the present, his grandson, 16 year old Sam Witwicky, is a typical teenager, vying for the girl of his dreams and looking out for every opportunity to make a buck towards a new car. Coming across an old chest in his attack, left as inheritance to first his father and now him, Sam discovers old navigational charts and equipment handed down from his storied great grandfather, items that could make a killing on eBay or the museum circuit.

Three Reasons you choose this character?:

1. Sam brings some humanity and fun to the game

2. He's an integral part of the Transformers lure

3. The Autobots will need a human ally to interact with on Earth.

What can you bring to this RPG and your character?: I can bring a thought out, indepth story that will combine the classic story with modern updates.

Like I said, it's a fairly worthless plane.

It's engine design alone is pretty much ancient as can be.

I am pretty sure I don't have to say this, but just because I want to. All transformations while we are on cybertron must be cybertronian vehicles. I am pretty sure everyone knows this, but I like to repeat myself.

Also, we will most likely have people with 1 character pick up another one, and worst comes to worst, we NPC other decepticons. Remember, as Soundwave I have a bunch of little guys on my side.

Ratbat was an attached NPC to me until Question picked him up. As long as your attached NPCs aren't picked up, you can use them. When they get picked up, colaboration with the characters will have to happen.
