After six years of the harrowing events and trials that rained down upon the fledgling Superman and those around him, things are finally beginning to change.

After a brutal brawl with the supposed final Phantom Zone escapee, Clark Kent returned to an empty farmhouse and mourned the death of Lana Lang, even as Lex Luthor was imprisoned for that very crime. Lois Lane and Chloe Sullivan were rescued from the crumbling dam by J'onn J'onnzz, but Lionel Luthor was not found amongst the wreckage. Hearing of this disastrous chain of events, Oliver Queen and his Justice League made plans to return to the Kansas town. And as the world presumed him dead, Bizarro sought out a victory from defeat. The world of Smallville was decimated.

It is now twenty-four hours later...and their fates are in your hands!

RULES

-There are six seasons of continuity to take into account. Even if your character has not made an appearance on the show thus far, you must respect and, if necessary, acknowledge what has happened before - in the RPG itself, as well as the episodes.

-Only characters from the DC Universe are available. Those that have already been established in Smallville can be used, but you may also take a character from the comics and give them "that Smallville treatment". However, it must merge well with the show and the other characters, and a character already depicted in one of the seasons cannot be remade.(Example: Bart Allen is Flash. He can't be switched out for Wally.)

-There is a section of the application where you may apply for an attached NPC for your character (Example: Oliver Queen may enlist Lois Lane). This is not a full-time character, but may be used as an accompaniment to your own character(s). But once this character is picked up, then it is nolonger an NPC, and you cannot bunny the character. No super-powered attached NPCs will be allowed. If a player wishes to pick up a character that is already an attached NPC, then they may do so with the blessing of the other RPGer.

-Every RPG thrives on interaction, and this one is no exception. However, please ensure that the player you are planning to interact with is fully aware of your plans, and hasn't made plans of his/her own that you may interrupt.

-Don't kill major characters without approval, be they taken by a fellow RPGer or NPCed. That rule does not apply to minor NPCs and nameless NPCs.

-Your character is free to travel, but make sure that their means of doing so is realistic. For example, Chloe wouldn't get around by a private jet unless there was a good reason for it. (Example: She was working alongside Lionel Luthor, Oliver Queen, etc.)

-You must act in-character with the person you are playing. Even if you are twisting a comics character into the RPG, they must at least bear similarities to the original interpretation of the character.

-Please post once every two weeks, at least. If two weeks pass without you posting, and you haven't informed anyone of a reason, then your character becomes available again.

-Respect the other players.

-Follow the regular SHH! forum rules.

-Have fun!

Smallville: Justice RPG Season I Application Form

Screen Name: Master Bruce

Character you would like to play: Bruce Wayne

Powers & Abilities: None. Bruce has trained his mind and body for a culmination of seven straight years, following a self-inflicted isolation from America, and his hometown of Gotham City. Upon his return, Bruce is entitled to a vast inheritence, bringing his worth well into the billion dollar mark, aswell as providing him with the tools he will one day take up as the Caped Crusader.

Brief Biography Of Character's History: Born into a priveliged life in the economically successful Gotham City, Bruce Wayne's world was shattered when, during a random mugging, his parents were shot down in cold blood right infront of his eyes. Seeking to eliminate all crime that acts in similar fashion, Bruce embarks on a journey that trains his mind and body to the peak of perfection. Now, deciding to finally return to start his rather daring quest, Bruce realises there is something more he needs. Something to strike fear into the criminal element, and cement his status as a legend among the world's future greatest heroes. What he needs... is a symbol.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1) Batman's my favorite character of all time.

2) I've always wanted to see him in the Smallville world, but that doesn't seem to be a possibility for the actual show.

3) What are you, dense? Are you ******ed or something? Who the hell do you think I am? I'm the goddamn Batman. (in training)

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you plan to do with the character you've chosen: I want to set the seeds of Bruce's place within the DC Universe, from elluding to who he'll become, to forming a unique friendship or even rivalry with Clark Kent... even down to leaving his impact upon both Smallville and Metropolis from Lex Luthor to Lois Lane. And perhaps, sometime down the line... Bruce will come against one of his greatest future advasaries.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As many as needed.

Color and font you plan on using for your characters speech (Might not be applicable but it makes the roster pretty): Century Gothic Bold, Black

Do you have an Instant Messenger? Which one, and what is your screen name?" allstarbatman - YIM, [email protected] - MSN

Does your character have any attached NPCs?: Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce's butler. I may need Lois Lane or Kara Kent, later down the line, depending on which I make one of Bruce's love interests... Depending on whether or not they're taken, of course.

Please provide a small sample post with original content in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 3 paragraphs long and contain at least one line of dialogue):

Master Bruce said:
I'm not ready.

The plane touches down on the runway to the National Airport earlier than I expect. The sun only glistens over the faded clouds in the distance. It tells me dawn has approached before I even get the chance to look at the time. My stomach turns, as the realisation dawns. I've returned. I'm back in Gotham. For only a precious passing moment does it seem to be a time of joy.

Then I realise what happened the last time I was here. The smell of gunpowder... the fresh blood that creeps along the wet pavement, towards the family limoseine... my inability to stop it, at my young age. Mom and dad... staring back at me on the ground, lifelessly. Sweat pours down my brow, as my skin goes pale. I suddenly realise that as determined as I was to return... I don't want to be here anymore.

My head lowers, as my hands go on the verge of trembling.

Stop it. You've come this far. This is the moment you've prepared for.

Be strong, for once in your life.

It takes five full minutes before I'm finally able to stand from my seat, grab my things, and head off the plane, silently following the other passengers. A goatee sports my face, as a pair of sunglasses cover my eyes. Precautionary. Even though it's been years, I've taken the nessacary steps to assure that I won't be recognised by the media on my departion home. But even precautions cannot hide the fear that crawls through my veins as I greet the sunlight of the city that birthed me. The city that gave me purpose.

The city where my parents were shot down in cold blood.

Bruce Wayne is man that the world at large believes to be dead. If only it were that simple...

Approved. Just be sure we don't go byrd's route and make his base of operations in Smallville. :oldrazz:

There are two characters I might want to play as. I'm still not sure of which one I want, or even if I'm going to play as them at all, so I'll post both apps and see what the reaction in:

1) Smallville: Justice RPG Season I Application Form

Screen Name:
The Question

Character you would like to play: Alan Scott

Powers & Abilities: Alan is capable of channeling and manipulating vast amounts of energy for a variety of purposes, including self propelled flight, the creation of concussive or heat beams, or the creation of solid energy constructs that fill a multitude of functions. As the years have gone on, he's become able to use his abilities to go without food or sleep indefinately, and render himself immune to many known forms of disease and injury.

Brief Biography Of Character's History: A railroad worker and aspiring writer of radio programs, Alan found the Starheart, a discarded piece of alien techno-magick, in 1939. He soon realized that it possessed great power, and in a strange bout of inspration, carved it into a Lantern and a Ring. Using the two objects and harnessing their power, he became a globe trotting adventurer, having all manner of crazy adventures. He fought on the side of the allies in WWII, and his existence, along with that of other superhumans, was covered up by the government through the publications of comic books based on their likeness. Now the owner of WXYZ, a Radio and Televison broadcasting company operating out of Gotham City, he's begun to take some interest in reports coming from the town of Smallville.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1) He's one of the biggest heroes in the DCU.

2) I think he'd work well in Smallville as sort of a de facto mentor to the younger generation.

3) Umm, he's a snappy dresser?

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you plan to do with the character you've chosen: I'm a good writer. And I work well with others (I think).

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As often as possble.

Color and font you plan on using for your characters speech (Might not be applicable but it makes the roster pretty): Bold Green Verdana

Do you have an Instant Messenger? Which one, and what is your screen name?" No.

Does your character have any attached NPCs?: His wife, Molly, and his old JSA buddies. He also has a friend who we never see, although he often speaks to him on the phone. Seemingly a Middle Eastern fellow, named Abin.

Please provide a small sample post with original content in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 3 paragraphs long and contain at least one line of dialogue):

"....in other news, the town of Smallville, Kansas, suffered tragedy today as the local damn collapsed. This has resulted in massive flooding throughout the town, and while no lives have been lost, the property damage is enormous. While the exact cause is unknown, local authorities are not ruling out terroism. Lex Luthor, Metropolis billionare who owns a home in Smallville, was arrested for the murder of Lana Lang, a local college student. The two events are believed to be unrelated. In the world of sports..."

Hearing what he needed to hear, Alan Scott walked out of the dark room, lit only by two dozen glowing screans, and walked down to his office. He stopped outside of it, to great his secretary. To anyone else, she was just some old lady. To him, she was the most beautiful woman in the world.

"Molly..."

She responded, albiet without looking up from the magazine she was reading.

"Alan, what did I say about asking me to fool around in your office during work?"

He doesn't even try to hide his smile.

"Cancell all of my apointments for the next two weeks."

"Are we going somewhere?"

"I am."

"...where?"

"Smallville, Kansas."

Before she can say anything, he walks into his office. Going behind his desk, he opens the secret compartment under his desk. Inside, is a small, green ring, glitning in even the dimmest of light.

"I'm needed."

Alan_scott-ross.jpg

2) Smallville: Justice RPG Season I Application Form

Screen Name:
The Question

Character you would like to play: Vandal Savage

Powers & Abilities: Savage possesses a vast intelect, bordering on superhuman. He's knowlegeble in countless fields, including military tactics, robotics, genetics, religion, mysticism, philosophy, hand to hand combat, weapons use, etc. His immune system and cellular regeneration is also superhuman, allowing him to survive most conceivable means of death, and has been what has allowed him to survive his very violent life for thousands of years. He also has enhanced strength and endurance. His only weakness is that, sometimes, his powers can begin to fade him. The only cure for that being the blood of one of his descendants. He usually eats them to acomplish this.

Brief Biography Of Character's History: Savage was born 52,000 years ago as Vandar Adg, a caveman and leader of the Blood Tribe. He was exposed to a radioactive meteor, that gave him his vastly enhanced intelect and physical atributes, as well as making him nigh-indestructible. Since then, he has gained and lost and regained massive power, both political, economic, and religious hundreds of times. Currently, he is the leader of the Illuminati, and after a 50 year retirement from his bid for world conquest, is now looking for a more lasting level of power.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1) He's a great, non Luthor related villain, which this place sorely needs.

2) He's basically a Dark Ages warlord in a buisness suit. His brutal nature and almost nihilistic outlook on life is tempered only by his need for subtlety. But sometimes, his nastier side pokes through.

3) Anyone in the League can knock him down. Can stop him. But he always gets back up again. He's like that nasty itch on your back that you can never quite reach.

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you plan to do with the character you've chosen: Again, I'm a good writer. And I work well with others.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As many as possible.

Color and font you plan on using for your characters speech (Might not be applicable but it makes the roster pretty): Bold, dark purple Arial Black.

Do you have an Instant Messenger? Which one, and what is your screen name?" No. Quit asking.

Does your character have any attached NPCs?: His daughter, Scandal. He ate all of his other relatives.

Please provide a small sample post with original content in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 3 paragraphs long and contain at least one line of dialogue):

Entry number 14,623.

Dear Diary:

That young lady I picked up of the street this evening was fantastic in bed. I do believe that she was my great grandaughter, although she may have been my great great grandaughter. In any event, her liver was most delicious.

After I finished dinner, I called David, my local man in the Illuminati. The conversation was as thus:

"David."

"Mr. Savage."

"I received your messege. You said that you had some important information for me."

"Ah, yes. We, uh, we got a report. Of a level Omega."

"Really. Where?"

"Smallville. Kansas."

"Well, thank you, David. You have been an enormous help."

I layed down the phone, and began to prepare for my trip. I have a recruitment drive to plan.

VandalSavage.jpg

Ok, Vandal Savage is definently approved, although I still want a what are you going to do with this character to fit him into Smallville answer for him. But as for Alan Scott, not only do I also want the Smallville intentions thing, but byrd wants to pic up Hal Jordon. How will Alan Scott be different?

While Alan Scott would be enormously cool, I have to say I think I'd rather see you take up Savage. Mostly due to the fact that I can see a real shortage in villains, but I also think you'd do him justice.

Either way, sextastic.

EDIT: ...Syn beat me to it. :o

By not being Hal Jordan? They're two completely different characters. The only similarity between the two is the powers.

Anyway, how Savage would fit in with Smallville: He's going there to try and convince Clark to join the Illuminati.

Smallville: Justice RPG Season I Application Form

Screen Name: Eddie Brock Jr.

Character you would like to play: Clark Kent/Kal-El

Powers & Abilities: Currently? Superspeed, superstrength, invulnerability, x-ray vision, heat vision, superhearing, superbreath...eventually arctic breath and flight.

Brief Biography Of Character's History: Kal-El is the last surviving Kryptonian (that we know of :ninja:). His father, Jor-El, rocketed him away from the doomed planet of Krypton moments before it exploded. Kal-El crash-landed in Smallville, Kansas. The radiation of our sun, combined with a lighter gravity, granted Kal-El amazing abilities. Kal-El was raised as Clark, the adopted son of Jonathon and Martha Kent. As Clark got older, his abilities developed and he learned of his heritage.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1) Best DC hero...take that Batman.

2) This is the best part of Clark's life: the origin and his beginnings as Superman.

3) Did I mention that he's the best DC hero?

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you plan to do with the character you've chosen: Over the next couple of Seasons, I will finally get Clark's final powers situated, and then it's time to look towards the tights.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: [sarcasm] Every single day. [/sarcasm]

Color and font you plan on using for your characters speech (Might not be applicable but it makes the roster pretty): Blue System

Do you have an Instant Messenger? Which one, and what is your screen name?: AIM - SixersFanatic05

Does your character have any attached NPCs?: Chloe?

Please provide a small sample post with original content in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 3 paragraphs long and contain at least one line of dialogue):

"I am truly sorry, my son. But you are well aware of the fragility of the human race," Jor-El tells me.

"You're wrong! There has to be a way!" I shout to my long-dead father.

"You know as well as I that there is not. You possess great power, my son, but even you cannot stop the passage of time."

I shake my head. "No, I won't accept it. There has to be something! Perhaps I could --"

"Could what, Kal-El? Spin the earth backwards on its axle? You must pull yourself together."

I have no response for him.

Jor-El continues, "I am glad you came, son. There is something I must tell you." I look up, listening intently. "These...humans, they can be a great people, Kal-El. They wish to be. They only lack the light to show the way."

My sorrow is instantly replaced with confusion. "What are you trying to say?"

"I am afraid that I cannot assist you in the next part of your journey. Where you go from here is your decision to make."

I feel my heart sink. "But what if I need you? What if I need help? I can't do this alone!"

"You will never be alone.
All that I have, all that I've learned, everything I feel...all this, and more...I bequeath you, my son. You will carry me inside you all the days of your life."

And with that, the bright lights of the Fortress dim, and I've never felt more alone.

Anyway, how Savage would fit in with Smallville: He's going there to try and convince Clark to join the Illuminati.
For Savage, I mean his origin and/or future. How does it relate to Smallville?

And I know Alan and Hal are two different guys, but I think it may be to early to throw to Lanterns at Clark. One is enough as is, and maybe a while after the first shows up, another can too. But for 2 lanterns to join right off the bat seems to early for the RPG.

He's going to go there. You know, to recruit Clark as I said. He might have passed through there back in the 1800s too.

Well, I was actually going to PM byrd and talk to him about Alan and Hal's relationship. Way I'll be writing him, Alan is already aware of the GLC, so he and hal will have an interesting relationship.

Ok, then. Thats good.

I'm still skeptical. I would be against someone picking up another Flash too. So, talk to byrd and tell me the plan. I got no problem with more lanterns or flashes in the future, but to start a certain group off with more than one unconnected or semiconected seems overkill. If they were rivals or somehow closely linked, I'll approve it.

I don't see why they need to be rivals. I don't even see how that would work. I'll talk to Byrd, but trust me. I've got a good idea.

It's cool, Q can take Alan and not have to worry about me. I just picked Hal for the hell of it. I'll put some actual thought into my character selection this time. :o

But, Q. Send me the PM anyway and let me see if It's cool. It probably will be, all your ideas are always cherry.

Ok then, Question you're approved.

My point for why I was skeptical is because if Clark meets 1 lantern, and is skeptical about him and all, and then he meets another, it takes away the originality. This is suppossed to be early DC. Each new character should be done with attention on them, and not diverted. Like the show.

So, we're allowed two characters?

I see no reason why not to. But I would like to have as little un smallvillized guys as possible. This isn't the new DC RPG. Its Smallville.

I was thinking about picking up Kara, or Aquaman, so that's not a problem for me.

Thats fine. I just don't want the Titans, JLA, JSA, and all the villians showing up in 1 season. It should be done in moderation.

I hear ya, delve deeper into the Superman and DC mythos as time goes on.

Also, Syn. I'm just gonna go ahead and ignore that comment about the way I planned on playing Batman...:cmad:

Ok then. :oldrazz:

But seriously, we should allow a few every season and minor guys from arc to arc.

We gotta get Twy and/or Noon for Lana, Lois, or Cloe.
