Transformers RPG Season I Sign up/OOC Thread

Hey, for all we know, he could have a pretty little dress in his quarters at the Decepticon base.

His decendant had a rubber ducky until he was a full-grown Predacon, so it's not completely impossible. :o

But unlike Megatron, Megatron II was completely insane.

BW Megatron was fairly...unsound. I mean, he wasn't Galvatron I crazy, but he definitely wasn't all there.

He'd talk to his dino head and the like.

But thats why I loved him. Anyone see the parallels though?
Scorponok=Soundwave
Terrasaur=Starscream

But IMO Beast Wars was best. More deapth to the characters in fewer episodes. And no humans!

I dunno. Scorponok was fairly...incompetent. Soundwave tended to be effective from time to time.

Scorponok was fairly ******ed. More so than the transmutate.

I like BW Megs more than G1 Megs. He was a lot more charming and cunning and definitely more menacing, plus he was one of the only things that made Beast Machines worth watching as he pwned the whole planet.

No disrespect to G1 Megatron, but Beast Wars Megs went above and beyond his namesake.

Ok, Sam Witwicky = teh shiz.
Mikala = teh hotness.
Captain whatever-his-name-was = teh cool.
Whoever Tyrese played = teh cooler.
Sam's parents = teh funny.

Sure, the robots may have gotten top bill in the movie, but don't count out the humans. This movie would've failed without them.

Granted, they were more focused with that Megatron, and had a larger set story.

That, and like forty less characters.

She took the movie up a notch for me.

Movie dude. Movie. I'm talkin the show. Keep up.

Beast wars Megs, gotta agree with Spike. Definently. He was smooth and ruthless. He tricked Ravage to let him go. Ravage! He only served the Original Megs! Damn he's good. And Beast Machines was good, but I got pissed for what happened to Rhinox. Anyone else think that was OOC?

It followed a logical pattern, but I'm pretty sure Rhinox was fairly messed up mentally from being a prisoner in his own body doing bad things.

Beast Machines I kind of didn't like. The explosions were horrible, and I hated the whole religious zen thing they tried to do.

Yeah, that definitely helped.
They killed off one guy I thought could've been amazing in future seasons. Terrasaur.

And my fav? Tarantulus. He was never badly written.

I also recall an episode where he put someone on trial for betraying him, and wore a classic judge's outfit, including the white powdery wig. Yeah, he was a little off. I get the impression that it was intended that he sees himself as a great military general like his namesake, but is in fact fairly dillusional.

True. Why bring biological to Cybertron? Who gives a damn? But the sub plots were fun. Thrust, overdrive. Jets, maximum burn! Tankor...do takor things yeargghh!

Remember his rubber duck? LMAO! He never showed fear either.

I mean, he didn't do half bad, but he pretty much kept taking other's ideas and using them instead. Towards the end, he was much MUCH more cunning, and in Beast Machines, he was devious.

Yeah, that was pretty fun, and I didn't mind the biological stuff. I just didn't like the whole religious part behind it, like it was trying to infuse this whole metaphysical layer to a machine/biology conflict.

You must be a Beast Wars fan.

Pound it. *entends fist*

Since Q didn't, I will!

There are times in life where I feel humanity is going nowhere.

Then I hear announcements like this, and faith is restored.

*hugs* :yay:

Well, if I remember correctly, his body was used by Megatron, so whatever damage he did was probably from being forced to do his bidding.

It followed a logical pattern, but I'm pretty sure Rhinox was fairly messed up mentally from being a prisoner in his own body doing bad things.

I dug it. 'Twas an interesting twist on the whole Transformers series. :up:

I always thought it was from residual Vehicon programming left over in his head. He still had Megatron's goals hardwired into him, it's just that he now had Rhinox's intellect and memories to go with it.

The zen thing was kind of hit and miss with me. I liked the fact that Optimus was always trying to overcompensate because Megatron convinced him that the Maximals lost the Beast Wars, resulting in Primal's strict nature in the series when it came to his goals and bringing out the plasma energy chamber and all that good stuff around the end.

But they definitely went overboard with the whole "Open up your mind, free your spark, blahblahblah."

Nevertheless, Megatron kicking the living s**t out of Optimus while in Optimal Optimus' body during the finale is still one of my favorite memories from the Transformers franchise to this day.
