well watch this recut trailer of the original Tron

Very nice tralier.Have to watch the movie when I can.

Why did evil Tron suddendly decide to attack CLU? Out of nowhere he says "I fight for the Users!"

Maybe he was already having problems with his evil self when he didn't kill off Flynn's kid during the disc fight. (when Tron saw the drops of blood)

That's my only gripe with the movie.

Spoilers tag some people might get upset.

Tron was reprogramed by CLU after the coup. After seeing Flynn for the first time in 20 years Tron remembered what his original programming was.

I havae a question, I was thinking about getting the Deluxe Clu figure however what I am wondering is what color is Clu's suit in the movie? I have seen pictures of it being yellow while other pics make it seem orange. Since the figure is more orange in color I just wanted to know if it was movie accurate.

It's orange

Unfortunately, I think people aren't giving it a fair chance because either A. they hold the original in such high esteem that no sequel could ever live up to it or B. they hate the original, think it's stupid, and therefore a sequel has to suck too.

Looks like this seems to be another movie in which audiences are really, really enjoying whereas some critics just see it as 101 Philosophy + CGI extravaganza.

To them I say, have you seen the first Tron? In many regards thats what made me love the first Tron so much. Critics were also complaining that the actors in Legacy were being to "serious" in their roles?

Well that covers everything. I was going to say I hadn't seen the original but that doesn't work now. ;) ...Seeing the original and having an opinion on it (negative or positive) is bad....and not seeing the original is bad! :word:

My last excuse is that I saw it in 2D. Since I thought Avatar looked equally impressive in 2D last year, it seemed logical to save the money and avoid those irritating glasses this time.

This movie was the bomb diggity. :woot:

The score blew my brains out. Totally Itunes'in that.

I'm crushing so hard on Quorra. I always thought Olivia Wilde was cute, but something about her as Quorra just....DAMN.

Everybody else was great. I thought the CG on CLU was about as good as you could hope for at this stage. It's not quite there yet but they're really pushing the envelope.

"I FIGHT FOR THE USER!" Gah...I had a geek attack.

How are the numbers for this so far? I'm pretty concerned; I really hope we get a sequel.

Disney owns Marvel which explains those Tron inspired Marvel images!

Definitely pulling for this for Best Visual Effects. The Grid was absolutely gorgeous. Better looking than Pandora. And while I'm a big Olivia Wilde fan, Beau Garrett as Jem really did it for me.

those are sick!! i esepcially love the Ghost Rider one. so far the coolest thing to come out of Disney owning Marvel are those Tron insprired images

anyone kind of wish the castle at Disneyland looked like the one that is in the opening to Tron Legacy? looks pretty awesome all Troninized

I'm still very impressed by how they [blackout]incorporated the famous TRON Poster sequence towards the end of the film when Sam & Quorra strike the iconic pose with the disc when they use the portal to escape the digital world to return back to the real world.[/blackout] That was wicked and total unexpected.

Saw this blazed as hell last night. Can barely remember any of it and fell asleep during most of its last 30-40 min. Still really enjoyed it though.:o

The movie was awesome. What are the odds of at the end Sam also downloaded Kevin's Security Disc ? Could we see Kevin get reinserted into The Grid ?

Was it just me, or does the title read only "TRON" without the word "Legacy" in the beginning?

I just came back from the 2D version. The "Legacy" title did NOT appear in the 2D version. I kinda liked it, though. It made it seem like a reintroduction of Tron and not really a sequel.

Saw the movie in Real 3D not Imax today this afternoon. Have to say that it was Great and exactly what I expected to be. I heard some say that it was a little boring and that the story dragged a lil, but I didn't get that sense at all.

I enjoyed the first Tron and I think this was a good sequel/follow up to that. I think I felt an even stronger connection to this film seeing how I and Flynn are the same age and I remember seeing Tron back in the 80's when I was young. Crazy stuff how things go around.

I would have liked for some of the story and back story to be discussed a little further though, but all in all it was great. Definitely liked SPOILER>>
How they incorporated the 1982 movie into the film and the toys and merchandise as if the original film actually happened in the film world as it did in ours. That was interesting. I liked how they referenced that in that way rather just keep the worlds seperate.

   1/2:up:
