If they were smart they wouldn't want to make money!

I have nothing against the look and feel, but an animated black & white cartoon? In this day and age? Except for hardcore fans, not many would like it. Maybe in form of a direct to DVD movie.
Nickelodeon of all companies is not about to cater to a select section of the TMNT fanbase. They'll probably go about as far into mature and violent territory as the last airbender cartoon did.

I would be content if we got TLA violence cuz I was surpised when I first watched TLA I was shocked that it was actually on Nick lolNickelodeon of all companies is not about to cater to a select section of the TMNT fanbase. They're not going to cater to any section of the fanbase. They're probably going to re-introduce the brand, for today's generation of kids.
Turtles Forever was a labor of love made specifically for the fans and all the people who have grown up with and enjoyed the property, the last twenty five years.
I know if I were a kid, I would find it to be awesome just because it looks so dark and bad ass. That factor is what made me watch Batman as a kid.
Shredder expolded in the first issue, came back as some kind of ninja worm demon thing, was clone(we saw this in the 2k3 show), and much much later popped up again in the Battle Nexus in vol 4 as a not evil shredder.Would we even want a faithful adaptation? How long was Shredder in the original Mirage comics? Didn't he die way early and then got resurrected like once? I have only read a few Mirage comics.
While hes the main bad guy in every other turtle media, he was a chump in the comic.
And I loved that.Hence the joke in the movie.
Maybe. 4kids can't make any deals like that now. It's all Viacoms ballgame now. And the lack of many of there shows(animated) having good dvds besides Spongebob its highly unlikely we will see any 2k3 dvds for awhile. Will we get a DVD of the uncut feature length movie?
was it the '87 cartoon that started this trend?
I like that reporter April has that Lois Lane vibe to her. It makes joining the Turtles' fight against evil more plausible.
Yeah, I think that Shredder's status as the arch nemesis was a major improvement (was it the '87 cartoon that started this trend?). If I were the people planning the new Live Action movies, that's one place where I would not follow the comic, and would instead look to the 2k3 series
Shredder was their main adversary but he was a serious threat that could take the Turtles all on by himself.
She's already far more useful, since she can provide some technical help
