Twisted Pictures to remake The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Man, do we really need some new horror icons. All of them are either being remade to death. Sequelled to death, or having trouble at the box office.

Victor Crowley is a new slasher icon in alot of peopls minds. Both Hatchet 1 & 2 were just good fun.

Ugh. Hatchet was the worst 10 bucks I spent on a DVD ever. I'm still going to give Hatchet 2 a shot for Danielle Harris, but my god am I ever not looking forward to it..

Eh. To me it just felt like Friday the 13th in a swamp with Jason Voorhees being named Victor Croweley. Didn't help that Kane Hodder was playing him.

Let me watch the Frozen trailer.

^^ Well, his inspiration was Friday the 13th. I just loved the feeling of Hatchet and the Victor Crowley character himself. In the second film, the deaths are even more over the top, but I won't spoil them. The second one is the most fun in terms of deaths.

Heh, I have a first grader in my class who was recommending Frozen to me. She's a bit of a horror buff already.

Yeah, Hatchet wasn't that good. There's no way Victor Crowley is a horror icon.

^^ What didn't you like? In the horror community, he is considered one now. There's a 3rd Hatchet coming out.

Eh. I consider myself part of the horror community and to me? The last new horror icon we got? Ghostface. There's been some that's came and tried to be icons, but they all failed. The closet to succeeding for me was Jigsaw, but the sequels kept him down.

^^ I could never get into Saw. The opening scene to Scream 4 when one of the girls was talking about Saw 4 is my reason.

The first one was a legit good film with a nice twist. It wasn't about what Shenae Grimes said in the beginning of Scream 4. It wasn't about blood and body parts flying everywhere. It was just two guys in a room and you actually get to know them and you want them to get out. Saw II is where it all went down hill for that series.

^^ After the first Saw, there's no where for that series to go but down, IMO. As for Hostel, well, I've stated my reasons for disliking that series before. That scene in part 2 where the naked girl is bathing in the girls blood is just.....wtf?

I disagree. I actually love the sequels. I was there every year at the theater on opening day for the story.

Except for SAW 3D. I liked it when it first came out, but having rewatched it really makes me mad because they just went for the stupid traps and gave up on the story.

But I really can't wait until the new horror icon comes along. It doesn't seem like anytime soon tho. :csad:

Saw, no matter what anyone says, when it became a yearly thing of having one in theaters. It became less about making a good quality film and more about shoving money in their pockets and became nothing more than this generation's Friday the 13th, only there wasn't a very memorable face behind the ''icon."

Like Friday the 13th and Nightmare both devolved into ''How gruesome can Freddy/Jason kill this person?" it became the same for Saw and Jigsaw.

Seriously again? This will be the third time Texas Chainsaw Massacre has been remade.

SAM! I loved that movie but I think it's more or less unheard of to the general audience. I hope there's a sequel though.

It's hard not to love 'Sam' when he looks and acts cute. Even with his pumpkin face showing.

I don't know why but the part where Sam is [BLACKOUT]calmly sitting there watching while everyone around him is slaughtered by women ripping their skin off and turning into werewolves[/BLACKOUT] is one of my favorite scenes in a movie period.

Because Sam's in it.
