The Dark Knight Two Face Revealed

Don;t know if this has been posted yet or not but theres an interview with Aaron Eckart in the summer movie issue of Total Film and he directly reveals when speaking of his characters transformation from Harvey Dent to Two-Face that "He's had acid poured on his face".

That may clear up the burned/set fire theory.
Yep. I posted that a couple of pages ago. I think the fact he uses the word "poured" is interesting. He didn't say "thrown" or "doused"...he said "poured".

ohh okay cool  as long as hes screwed up psychologically before hand :D haha
He is screwed up before hand!! I remember in a viral questionairre over the phone they asked you how important it was that Harvey had a history of psychological disorders on a scale of 1-10!

Am I to assume that Harv's isn't married in this one? It may seem like an idiotic question but right off the top of my head I can't think of ant real indication of when it was said that he's hot and heavy with Rachel.

i think at that point he didn't care too much about pain, he was in enough of it to begin with lol but hey that just shows his entire persona. He is so angry inside that not even searing pain from alcohol on his scars is gonna stop him from being what he has become

in some versions of the comics (im referring to one in the riddler/twoface collection), all of the nerves on the scarred side of dent's face are dead. hence his ability to take more pain.

Gollum was awesome. :csad: That blew me away in the theater.

It was awesome. The performance of Andy Serkis, the way the CGI moved and also the way they showed his two sides, but I just think they went a little overboard with that is all. So much of the acting in LOTR seemed intended for a childrens show. It had the nuance of a sledgehammer. Viggo Mortenson might best the exception to that.

LOTR acting directing cheesy as hell? Are you kidding??? :cmad:

When was the last time you watched the movies? They age horrendously. I had no idea the acting was so bad until I watched them again about a year ago. And I LOVED them when they came out, massive LOTR geek

I think I died a little inside after reading what you just said. Methinks you need acid poured on your face. :oldrazz:

Maybe Two Face/ Harvey come quickly in that shot because they want to deliver their message and leave before the guy comes back from the bathroom. Especially if you want to beat someone up, keep the talk short and sweet so to speak.

:hoboj: - Ahahahahaha!

"meat's back on the menu boys!"

lotr definately had its groaners for sure. i would love to see someone take the fine toothed batfan comb to those movies.

i love the movies to death though despite jackson's tendancy to let his silly side show through a bit too often.:cwink:

I assume he also has multiple personality disorder in the film as well.

Yeah there are a few moments in LOTR that I could have done without, but I dont think it detracts from the overall masterpiece the trilogy is.

Batman Begins had plenty of groaners/lame lines. :o:oldrazz:

Preach it.

My only nit-pick is that I thought that Harvey had a split-personality disorder. But it looks like the events of the film just drives him to the dark side.

Kinda like Anakin huh?

i know a lot of people prefer the acid being thrown at his face but its really hard for me to believe that he is burned by acid when nolan is completely about realsim. is it very realistic that a guy carries acid into a courtroom and throws it at dent to perfectly burn half of his face? plus the footage pretty clearly shows that the burn is from gas. i woiuld really prefer that they take the burned approach, it seems alot more plausible. unless the liquid on the floor is some type of acid, that would make more sense (at least to me)

seems i was right :yay:

The LOTR movies are baller. Anyone who disagrees needs to check themselves before they wreck themselves.

Totally 1000% x infinity disagree. Just watched ROTK extended cut and I still get chills when the Rohirrim begin their charge on the Pelennor Fields.

wow. I can't believe I just said that. No wonder I didn't get laid at the wedding last Saturday.

if this has been discussed a few pages back, then bah.

Anyone notice on Whysoserious.com/myhero, the clip is gone? if you highlight everything, it says Herotodaygonetomorrow, in "aAaAaA" format.

the acting was great,it just had cheesy moments where it looked like Frodos and Sam were secretly gay lovers is all.

^ that was one cheesy aspect I didn't mind. Sam and Frodo really do love each other, but that doesn't have to mean they want to get pokey in the brown. Tolkien was at the Battle of the Somme, where 16,000 British men died in one day. The relationship between young men away from home at war is the heart of the book. I was so glad Jackson wasn't afraid they'd look ghey. As you near the end of the books you realize it's actually all about Sam, it's his story, and shying away from Frodo and Sam would have been totally lacking in balls and integrity.

Sure there's some great moments, alot of them actually, but I was surprised by how tacky the acting was on the whole I mean. It's too much talking to the audience and all these really profound stares and statements. It's overblown. If you watch some of the King Kong behind the scenes you'll see how Jackson, like Lucas, is more concerned with effects and orchestrating gargantuan shoots and scenes. In King Kong he made computer mock-ups of how the actors should stand, their posture, the timing of their delivery, so that it would all mesh with the CGI. There's footage of him showing a little hand held to Naomi Watts and the long nose guy, and he's telling them "do it exactly like this" and the look on their both faces is this kind of awkward WTF, like we're actors, let us do our thing.

and btw I did get laid last week. so therefore my opinion is probably the most correct

That's just the nature of the story. It isn't supposed to be subtle, with Robert DeNiro alone in an apartment trying out his manly stances, it's a fantasy epic, much like Star Wars. It's sweeping and romantic and has wizards and elves and giant spiders. There's lots of oration and grand gestures and larger than life characters and settings. Great films, just more fantastical and melodramatic, as the story requires. I'm a huge fan.
