having said that it doesnt mean the WB shouldnt feel some sense of gratitude towards mr. nolan and the rest of the crew responsible for batman begins. regardless of your personal opinions about nolan and begins he gave warner bros. a movie that was not only successful at the box office, it was very well recieved by critics, the fanbase, and the general public. he showed that these characters can be made into viable films despite the one two punch of batman and robin and catwoman nearly dealt all dc on film projects impotent.
wb probably wouldnt even be going ahead with this project had begins and (to a lesser extent ) superman returns been complete failures.
So what, should WB just ask Mr. Nolan before making use of THEIR character, so he won't get mad and punish them? What if he says:
Nolan: "You know what....I'm not liking this Justice League idea. Not my kind of film."
WB Exec: **Giggling nerviously** "Right, hehe. OK. Chris, We hear you. Oh God what were we thinking!
To assistant: Call Miller and tell him to CANCEL EVERYTHING RIGHT NOW. We have a "Nolan Red Alert: Nolan Don't Approve" situation! Justice League is OFF until further notice! **whispering** make that unrtil Nolan approves!
Please.
I don't think the man has time to be pissed about anything but whatever complications he might have had with TDK. He has even been directly asked if he is pissed about JLA and he said "Not Really" ... As it should be, IMO.

Yes.
