This idea that Nolan is mad or annoyed that JLA is being made can be pretty much laid to rest now.

IGN: Are you concerned at all about the Justice League of America movie and of a new Batman being introduced to audiences while your franchise is still going?

Nolan: Not really. To be perfectly honest, it's not really something I've thought about much. I really am just immersed in making this movie. Whatever will happen will happen, and we're just working very hard to make this movie the best it can be.

Whether he is mad or not remains to be seen, but you really think he is going to directly say he is angry in a quote while still working for WB.

So now we are going to assume he's mad even though he is saying he is not concerned? So he is doomed now matter what he says(from the wrath of JLA fans). I say we just take him at his word and move on.

Yeah, if he was angry in an way, he would have simply twisted his comments to come off professional and calm. But he blatantly says he's "not really" worried. That sums up everything.

One less crutch to needlessly hate this movie. :o

Horray for apathy!

Seriously though, this is good. After everyone *****ing and moaning that this film might make Nolan decide to not make Batman 3 has always been nonsense so I hope we can FINALLY put this to rest.

I should have made that bet with those at BATMAN ON FILM.

I find it interesting that his first "public" comments don't show any concern, resentment, or reservations about Batman being used as "insiders" have reported. If he has concerns or reservations he should state them publically, so his supporters will know for sure where he stands instead of just speculating.

Good for Nolan, he shouldn't worry about anything else. Hes already making a damn fine franchise for himself!

He may not be mad now, but if JLA's version of Batman is more comicbook, BTAS accurate and better well received than his variant of the iconic comicbook hero, there will be some "ill" feelings.

Creative pride and competition, simple as that. Very human and very plausible emotions.

In Nolans version other superheroes don't exist. While we know in most batman comics, they are other heroes in his universe...

What Nolans got working for him is Bale, people love him, so in all honestly he should be fine. I mean his $$$$$$$$$$ is gonna go up...

So then, the dillemma for the TDK fans who "hate" JL. Either believe Nolan and he is not worried over JL (and loose that argument) or don't believe him, which means you think Nolan is a liar.

Hehe, tough one. :D

I think Nolan knows that his Batman is not the be all end all version. How many James Bond's have there been now? I think that if BATMAN and ROBIN would of been half way good as a movie we might have had 2 more versions of BATMAN before his begins reboot! Time needed to passs and Batman is not going away anytime soon. Bale is making his case as being one of the best ever to done the cowl....but he won't be the last!

I'm not assuming anything. I didn't say he was mad or he wasn't, but that quote doesn't really prove anything.

good, i was starting to loose my liking for him, but now that i know that hes not a whiny brat

Good for him.

Honestly, since when did Nolan own the mantle of Batman? I think the pop icon/image/presence of Batman is far larger than any 1 director's vision of him. I think it's ridiculous what people are putting into Nolan and Bale's mouths.

Batman has been re-imagined multiple times by a slew of talented people. I don't think the public is so stupid to have problems seeing two actors as the Dark Knight. No matter how many cartoons, movies, or shows run concurrently, the essence of the character always remains intact, and that is all that matters.

I completely agree. Sadly there is people who just can't stand the idea of JL happening while Nolan is making his Batman movies, as if he owns the character. I'm very glad he made Batman Begins, even thankful, but Batman being in JL will not magically undo any of his great work on the solo franchise. I wish more people would get that.

this is not Bay. you will never hear or read fro mhim that he is or was mad.

But he is not mad. As he stated. Or maybe he is lying? I hope not, cause Batman hates liars ^^

Nolan is being a gentleman and not airing his dirty laundry in public. Why would he publicly bash the company that is currently working for? There are surely some hard feelings about JL being made while Nolan is making his trilogy. You can see that in interviews with Bale earlier this summer. As Bale said they wished that WB would have waited until their version of Batman was through.

Nolan is in a no win situation... people are going to just assume whatever. Critics will be like... "how can Nolan not be bothered by to concurrent contradictory franchises about the character? (contradictory is subjective in this sense)..." people are free to believe what they want to... that quote gave JLA haters/Nolan supporters no reason to think different.

He have a right to be very angry at Warner Bros for having JL movie to make. I'm very angry at them, too. So screw JL movie!

Christopher Nolan and his Batman films, FTW.

why would he be mad? besides theyre not his movies, technically theyre WB's, he didnt even write them
