Supergirl Tyler Hoechlin IS Superman

Uhm... I thought Clark was already known as Superman for a number of years, before Kara crashed on earth as a teen. So, well, shouldn't they have cast someone who's a bit more seasoned? Why cast someone only a year older than Melissa?

We see Clark opening Kara's ship as a fully-grown Superman. IF (and big if) that was his first year as Superman (say he was 25), and Kara got here at age 13, that would make Clark 36 today. I don't think a clean-shaven Hoechlin can look anything past 30.

Kara is 24 in season 1. Presumably 25 in season 2 if things did progress in real time over the break

I dont think he's the same age as Kara. I think Jimmy is a few years younger than Clark, which places him at early 30s.

Well, anyone who has watched Teen Wolf knows he has the physique for it.

I like it. It wasn't someone who I expected, but I loved him on Teen Wolf. More than willing to give him a chance.

Superman ages at a slower rate in the comics than humans. That could explain his more youthful appearance here.

Although i'm not familiar Hoechlin's work i don't mind seeing him in the role. He's got the look to pull it off. Just don't put him next to Jimmy! lol

A plus for him is that he's not well known (despite lots of acting experience) so people won't watch his performance with much preconceived ideas.

Also, i noticed he's playing a role in upcoming FIFTY SHADES sequels as well. So things are really on the up for him.
