Supergirl Supergirl Season 2 Episode 2 - "Last Children Of Krypton" MAJOR SPOILERS

I am sure the Kryptonians took all that into consideration when they designed the suit. After all, the suit was intended to fight Supergirl, who is far more powerful than Metallo.
You should ask why Metallo didn't bleed and break his bones when he hit Alex.
I still say it's what went down in small ville season 4 the night of the prom with cloe cause clark was taken over by that prom queen mentally and he back handed cloe full force inthe face and she flu across the gym hall/ dance floor and was show with out a bruise or anything after wards, that very same episode. And this was pre cloe's meta human life force healing powers that came and went with in the show.

it's as simple as the writers didn't think people(the audience) will be asking this cause they want us to concentrate on other things

the dc tv writers just do that.

I get that as we obviously didn't see her hurt but based on the design of it, it made no logical sense. Like whomever designed it on the staff should have added gloves or gauntlets instead of leaving her hands exposed bc it detracted from the fight IMO

I like to think that, if its possible to have another Batman on TV (making it three versions of live action at the same time), him on Supergirl works perfectly compared to him on the Arrowverse.

I don't think he exists yet, but once he does, he should be pure Year One Batman. Bare basics, only experimental versions of his toys, maybe only has a vechile but it might not be the Batmobile. And the episode on him, would be about Supergirl, AND Superman as well, their reactions towards this guy and how he fights. Which kinda ties into how different National City/Metropolis looks compared to Gotham, and why Batman needs to exist. Can be a two-parter!

I disagree. I don't think we will ever see Batman appear in the Arrow, Flash, Legends, or Supergirl. Batman is very hard and complex character to bring to TV with out it coming off like an Adam West Batman. So I don't see that happen.

I don't think we will see him either, but I don't think it is because of that reason. They can make him as dark, or as cheesy as they want with the writing of the character.

They can do a Batman for TV. And yes, cheesy or hard drama depends only on the intent of the show. I think they just have so much on their plates right now, plus they are concentrating on characters that have had little to no screen time before now.

I would love to see Batman and Superman get their own shows, but the Superman universe is kinda taken up with Supergirl right now, and the Arrow is pretty much Batman except for the costume.

If we do get them however, it's going to be a long while away.

And Gotham pretty much takes care of all the rest of Batman. It's basically Batman without Batman and Robin, including all the cheesiness and hard drama.

Another good episode, I am will actually miss Superman until he comes back, which I hope is soon.

My only issues were Alex's bones not breaking in her suit, and Metallo being able to handle both Superman and MM at once. He was a bit too powerful but still enjoyed it.

I actually haven't missed Superman. Supergirl fills the whole role pretty completely. He was good when he was there, but I don't need to see him.

I thought I'd miss Superman after the end of this ep, but honestly, in the eps that followed, there's been so much going on that I haven't. If anything, I want Kara to get more focus.

I've actually heard this a lot, and hearing more sister time as well. I could be mistaken but I think the crossover has taken quite a bit of her time, and they only finished that up I think late last week, and maybe even shot a few last scenes early this week.

I think there's both happening, I know a few who simply watched the two episodes for Superman and gave the watch any other episodes and I know of people who haven't enjoyed the episodes as much since Superman left and then there's those that haven't missed him. I haven't watched an episode since but it's only cause I'm waiting for Sky in the UK to air the next episode (Ep 3) which is on Monday here.

I really don't miss Superman, IMO the first 2 episodes are still the best of the season by far but the 2 episodes since then are also very good and the introduction of Snapper Carr, Mon-El and Maggie Sawyer among other things has kept me hooked.

Great episode. Been waiting for there to be a Donner Superman/Clark. Tyler and Melissa's chemistry is amazing, just as strong as Grant's.

I miss Superman on the show, I think the episode after massively suffered. It was like having a hangover IMO. Thankfully the show has picked up again since but I think a return is a must for him.

I actually enjoyed the next episode even more...it was back to her show and story.

Each to their own of course but it reminded me of when the JLU were on
Batman Beyond. The show wasn't quite the same after that.

Well, the show is titled "Supergirl".

I'm looking forward to him guest starring again for sure...but the reason I enjoyed "Medusa" so much more than the last couple of episodes was that with the Crossover shoot for Melissa, it seemed Guardian and other story lines were taking more time. I was glad to getting back to what the show is about. So, YES DEFINITELY, looking forward to Superman coming back for a couple of more episodes, no problem with that at all. :) But, I'm not looking for any more than 4 - 5 episodes.

I enjoyed the later episodes of the season more, tbh, and don't find myself "missing" Superman in general (but of course I'd love to see him back sometime this season). But I agree "Welcome to Earth" felt like a step down after this ep.

I don't think that the first 3 episodes in general were all that well written, so for me...yeah, ep. 3 was kind of a let down.

I think the last 2 episodes have been the best written so far this season. I think they have found their footing. ALSO, they need to let Derek Simon do more of the writing, IMHO.

I've been reading some of the comments previously in here and notice some having a go at the whole subplot of Superman been angry at J'onn for keeping the Kryptonite around. Well he explained in the episode it's because he doesn't trust what could happen if things changed and J'onn wasn't in charge anymore. It's also really natural for someone to not want the only substance known to man that could kill them the fact a shipment gets stolen and it directly is part of the Cyborg Metallo that nearly killed them completely backs up his argument aswell.

PS. To whoever said it was out of character for Superman to act like that showed exactly why a certain type of people are so against different takes on the character. For all we know and what we see in the episode it is in character for this version of Superman to do that. To many people have this idea of who Superman should be that they don't like changes from that perception.

It's almost like he's a Jesus figure to them.
