I get that he wanted the lights go out because he thought the universe should never have been and wanted to return to a dark state. My complaint was that there approximately 100 billion galaxies in our light cone, so my ability to suspend disbelief was destroyed.
Now if instead Malekith wanted to extinguish the Earth's sun for some dark reason, then fine. But the entire universe? There is a line beyond which the plot becomes ridiculous.
Also, Malekith was a truly universal threat, but only Thor, Jane and friends were trying to stop him? Nobody else (powerful) in the entire cosmos cares?
And yes I thought Thor stole the show..Loved the lego moment with the little kid...as well as the Girlfriend bragging rights duel...
You have beings that predate the Big Bang. They liked things the way they were. What do they care about 100 billion galaxies? Obviously not on their agenda.
The Lego moment was funny. WOuldn't it have been hillarious if it was a lego Batman or Superman that got stomped... LOL it would have been priceless.
I meant I'm not a fan of threats to the entire universe, because it's so very vast. The galaxy itself with only a couple hundred billion stars is incredibly big. But if the comics established that infinity stones can do that sort of thing, then so be it.
I just realized Thor never said "we would have words with thee". Come on Marvel.
I will say Thor was represented much better here than in the first film IMO. I think he was easily the most enjoyable Avenger this time around. He was funny (the only one who's lines really worked for me) appropriately powerful and just seemed much...cooler, than he was in the first film.

I didnt know the difference between Shakespearean and old english.. I knew Shakespeare spoke in a more eloquent wway but alas thanks for the info. Im goin to bunker up now
Where da ryders at
I did enjoy Thor in the movie, I just hated that he didn't put up more of a fight before tricking Ultron at the end. Him fighting back a bit would have made that moment better.
I thought it worked well that he didn't fight
he was just stalling and distracting Ultron
Had he put up an actual fight, but then Vision had to "save" him with Mjolnir, fans would be wayy more furious that "Thor looks weak next to Vision"
instead, it was a little ploy (that I assume he and Vision came up with while talking in Avengers Tower) and Thor took a beating because he knew he could take whatever Ultron dished out
I thought it made him look like more of a badass than fighting would have
He never actually went down though, Ultron gave him everything yet Thor was virtually unfazed.
Tell them people who think Ultron beat the **** out of himHe never actually went down though, Ultron gave him everything yet Thor was virtually unfazed.
