Uncanny Avengers

That was only one of like 5 times Thor got his ass kicked in AvX, too. The raw Phoenix Force, without any host, beat him in like 3 different tie-in comics, I think. He would literally recover from one fight, head back out, and get his ass kicked again. Then Emma Frost beat him as one of the Phoenix Five, I think. Then Rachel in AvX: Vs.. Then there was that awful panel of Thor gut-punching a defenseless kid. Man, AvX was terrible. :csad:

AVX is ripe for MST3K-style riffing. That's how bad it is.

He got beat up by Rachel in AvX and she didn't have the Phoenix. She was a regular mutant who was able to go toe to toe with him, withstand Mjolnir and took him out. He most definetly was jobbed in this story

Huh, that sounds like a great story. I should have been reading that mini :D

Oh, well then I did read it and apparently forgot about it.

GO team Rachel

but poor Thor :(

How in the world was her TK hammer able to knock out his godly hammer Mjolnir?

I don't know. I don't see Thor/Rachel as being such a mismatch. She's a heck of a telekinetic, and to me it looks like she just knocked him down... not defeat him. Namor jumps in there right afterwords to take over.

Ragnarök is now!

• Against his masters’ orders a deranged and vengeful Sentry kills an Uncanny Avenger! No hoax, no dream and only the first casualty of many!

• To allow reinforcements from other eras The Wasp must find and destroy the Twins Tachyon transmitter, but first she’ll have to defeat The Grim Reaper.

• Scarlet Witch makes an impossible choice that will define her forever.

• Sunfire and Rogue, alone without back up, must defeat the combined might of both Apocalypse Twins or watch the end of our world!

Man, I hope they don't kill Banshee again. They missed the oppertunity to bring him back during Necrosha. I hope Remender takes this change to resurrect him fully. He's one of my favorite characters. I miss him :(

I'm a bit skeptical that any of the Death Seed people are going to come back.

I wonder if Havok is the one who dies. That would set up a nice future crossover with Uncanny X-Men, where Cyclops tries to take the Avengers to task for gussying his brother up as mutantkind's personal Uncle Tom and ultimately getting him killed. As crazy an a**hole as I think Cyclops is now, even I'd find it a bit hard not to sympathize with him on that.

Havok was shown in that future NYC and the end of issue 5 so I think he's got too much an important role to play. I have a feeling that it's Wonder Man that's going to be killed.

Like you eluded to above, with the Death Seed around...all bets are off. The same goes for the Life Seed and Remender loves playing around with both of them. I just hope he doesn't overdo it. Using those MacGuffin's can really water down the emotional pop of the story.

I loved it the first time with Warren Worthington because I had never really seen it before. Going there again would be a retread.

They both already seem kind of stupid to me. I'm hoping he doesn't focus on the seeds too much.

They are a dangerous plot device, that's for sure. I just don't want to see Remender go on some wild murder spree just to undo it all with the Life Seeds. He's a better writer than that to rely on that kind of a crutch.

Havok will appear to die in the present in UA 13 but actually be transported to the future. Scarlet Witch and Sunfire will appear to die in UA 14 but will also appear in the future. The team will dissolve in the present, and the rest of its members will perish fighting the Horsemen, the Twins, or the Red Onslaught apocalypse. The three Avengers in the future will have to escape from there in order to save the present.

Here is a schedule of deaths:
UA 13- Havok
UA 14- Scarlet Witch, Sunfire, Wonder Man, Wolverine, and Rogue
UA 15- Captain America
By issue 16, only Thor and Wasp will remain.

You sound pretty confident of that......

Are you a rogue Marvel employee or something? :ninja:

Are you a letterer with an axe to grind with Rick Remender? :sus

Dude can you please use spoiler tags.

Seriously. Posting stuff like that (as spoilers, not speculation) without spoiler tags should warrant an automatic thread ban.

I am going to be so pissed if that random nonsense turns out to be true...

Five things I liked about UA #13:

1. Wolverine is relentlessly tortured.
2. Wolverine confesses that he has failed mankind.
3. Wasp blows out Banshee's throat.
4. Scarlet Witch is double-crossing the Apocalypse Twins and has a plan to defeat them.
5. Scarlet Witch has a love scene!

um...why is this dude posting spoilers without use of spoiler tags??

because he's a troll
he's been trying to convince everybody for the past few pages that he has some sort of insider info
but it's all turned out to be bulls**t, so now he's reduced to posting recaps of new issues with no spoiler tags
