Having just playe them, 2 and 3 are pretty close. I guess I'd say they both edge out TR just a bit. But its close.
And Uncharted took its cues from Tomb Raider. Neither is original, what I care about is which does it better. It's obvious it took its cues from Uncharted though. Even if it improves on the formula.

I haven't played the game, but I did see the first few hours and various parts of it, and I gotta say, there's something about certain current-gen games that just have a great look to the cutscenes and cinematics.Playing Rise of the Tomb Raider right now. I think it easily dropkicks UC1 and UC3. The game's main story does actually handle like an Uncharted game, and it rather strong imo.
I love them both, and I LOVED the TR reboot much more than Drake's Fortune, but not better than the other two UC games once I finally got to play those. I look forward to being able to play the TR sequel (whenever that may be), but I expect UC4 to be the better of the two games.
Crushing gave me fits of rage on the PS3. I don't think I've been so angry at something being so hard since Kintaro in MKII on the SNES...
That being said.. I'll do it again whenever I pick up the trilogy. Maybe after Christmas.

it's the jungle platforming aspect of TR that uncharted probably got its influence from. there was a time last winter where I was showing this guy the psx demo of Uc4, he had no idea what uncharted was but played the old TR games and as he was watching he was like "yo this is exactly like tomb raider"The story concept is obviously similar with hunting for treasure and the supernatural elements that creep into both series (usually in later chapters), but the gameplay itself in Uncharted never really struck me as much like Tomb Raider pre-reboot. There's some light puzzles and platforming (mainly in Drake's Fortune), but I feel like Uncharted's actual gameplay was a lot more influenced by action shooters than TR.
Just finished Drake's Fortune on crushing. Was tough. Some other trophies left for a platinum. I bet U2 and U3 crushing are gonna be really tough. Oh boy haha.
I have, but I spent most of my time on mp. I didn't replay the campaign as much as I did with Uc2You have not played UC3?
Yeah I remember UC3 was pretty tough on Crushing especially the Cruise section of the game i still have nightmares![]()
